Read on Google →Ever since I have joined this vet I have never been greeted in a friendly or warm manner. Made to feel stupid when asking a question or look at you dumbstruck. Firstly I had to wait over 20 mins with my cat who was already stressed to be seen and I had to be asked how long as another woman walked straight in and was seen to with her cats. Then I was told by the vet my cat may have a heart murmur due to stress which I’m not suprised by as it was out of its comfort for so long due to there laid back attitude but she fobbed it off as not to be worried about and to come back in a week when it was an annual check and he was due a vaccination which she didn’t even give him. I was told I wouldn’t have to pay nothing by her and I was on a pet plan to be the told after by the receptionist two different prices which then increased each time. So I asked what am I on the plan for then?! Then you get handed a leaflet to outline it. The staff are so self absorbed and unfriendly and rude especially the old lady with a man cut , with such horrible customer service and manners- that asking her a question seems like a crime. It seems to be a money making scheme everytime you visit and what you go in for gets dismissed and there charging over the odds each time and getting away with it. I paid for the meds and walked out due to annoyance and disbelief of what I witnessed and heard and in the end she didn’t even book or even ask about a follow up to rebook my cat after they said what they did about him. So where is the duty of care there?! It’s disgusting and I really am sick of their customer service and it absolutely stinks in there. Not only with there attitude and the staff. The actually smell of the place . It hits the back of your throat everytime you walk in!!! It’s horrible and unpleasant experience everytime and has got worse each time I’ve gone there. Disgusting vet practices.
Read on Google →We’ve now visited Blacks Vets twice with our cat Arsène, who is a very anxious patient. Our first visit was back in April for his vaccination, but because he gets so stressed we delayed his full check-up until recently. At our latest appointment, we saw Mohammed (unfortunately I don’t know his last name), who was absolutely wonderful with Arsène. He was calm, patient and so reassuring not only with Arsène but with us too. Even though it wasn’t possible to take a blood sample this time, he said Arsène looks to be in good health and that it’s best not to stress him further unless we notice any changes. We really appreciated that honest and caring approach, as he explained that when the time comes, Arsène will likely need to be sedated for a blood test. Mohammed was great and we would definitely trust him with Arsène again. The ladies at reception were also incredibly friendly, supportive and understanding, which made the whole experience a lot easier for us. Thank you to the whole team at Blacks Vets for taking such good care of our boy.
Read on Google →I purchased the £79 puppy pack from Black Vets, which I understood would cover key treatments like microchipping, worming, and vaccinations. When I brought my puppy in for the first appointment, I informed the vet that my dog had been sick and had vomited. Because of this, the vaccination was postponed — which I completely understand for health reasons. However, I was later charged a £55 consultation fee that I was not informed about at the time. In fact, the vet only saw my dog for about two minutes, did not explain what was wrong, and did not carry out a full consultation (which is supposed to be 15 minutes). They also did not check my dog’s temperature, even though this was later cited as the reason for the consultation charge. To make matters worse, I was only told about the fee a week later at the next appointment — and was told the vet had “forgotten” to mention it at the time. This feels incredibly unprofessional and misleading. If I’m being charged for a service, I expect that service to actually be provided. I feel let down by the lack of transparency, communication, and proper care — especially for a service aimed at supporting new pet owners. I would urge others to be cautious and ask detailed questions before committing to any packages or services here. *UPDATE* I’ve also just been told that the puppy starter pack does not include a vet check and this is a seperate fee
