  I recently visited Blacks Vet with my kitten and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Based on this visit, I would not recommend this practice. Upon arrival, the waiting area was extremely noisy due to several barking dogs, which caused my kitten significant distress. As someone who also suffers from severe allergies to dogs, I felt very uncomfortable and nearly left before being seen. I approached the reception staff to explain my situation, and although I was eventually moved to a separate room in another building, this took some time. In today’s environment, it is important for veterinary practices to recognise that customers may have varying needs, including allergies or health conditions. It would be beneficial for staff to proactively ask clients whether they are comfortable waiting in shared spaces with other animals, particularly dogs, and offer alternative arrangements where possible. I also felt that the overall customer service was lacking. The focus appeared to be more on processing payment rather than providing a welcoming and supportive experience for both the pet and owner. When the vet attended to my kitten, I had to explain the purpose of the visit, which was for flea treatment. I was then asked to administer the treatment myself and to hold my kitten while the vet clipped his claws. The appointment felt rushed and impersonal. At the end of the consultation, the vet asked whether I would be returning and then left the room abruptly, asking me to place my kitten back in the carrier on my own. After returning home, I noticed that only some of my kitten’s claws had been clipped, with several missed entirely. This further reinforced my impression of poor attention to detail and lack of professionalism. Overall, I found the service to be below standard and the experience quite stressful. As a result, I have cancelled my policy with Blacks Vet and registered with another practice that demonstrates a stronger commitment to both pet care and customer service.

  Very friendly staff and my cat is somehow calmer than at any other vets. Great value for money health membership. I'm happy I could choose wormers and flea treatment in tablet form. Superb location and car park too. Clean and spacious clinic. My cat is healthy, we both happy, thank you ever so much for being great, professional and friendly 😊

  In all the years that I've had dogs, Blacks vets is easily the best vets surgery I've ever dealt with. The staff are friendly and caring, and always address my pup by his name and are happy to see him. We've had a tough time with our dog over the last 18 months or so, and the staff and vets at Blacks have always gone above and beyond to make sure our dog is comfortable and looked after. The kindness and care they've offered him has been second to none, and he absolutely loves going, no matter how he's feeling, which says everything you need to know. If Charlie could review this himself, I'm sure he'd give Blacks Vets 10 stars, especially his vet Dom. He is so grateful for Blacks Vets help. Blacks Vets - 10/10, highly recommended.

  Best vets around I moved to blacks vets from another practice after being badly treated. I had been going to the previous practice for nearly TWO YEARS!!! and I was still no further forward with what was wrong with my dog Billy. After only two visits to blacks he was diagnosed with a rare life limiting illness sadly. I was devastated. From that moment on even with the insurance everything was dealt with amazingly. The staff are lovely, kind and understanding. The vet who I saw was so brilliant. He treated my Billy like his own. All insurance was paid out with no problems. To the point I used up my whole policy. Which due to the fact he had so much work done. They did everything they could to keep him going. At the end when the time came to say goodbye they treated us like royalty. Made us feel so special. It was such a peaceful passing. I was devastated. They even took a fur clipping and put it in a bottle for me and a paw print for me to кеер. If you want a good, caring, genuine vets look no further
