  I have been taking my dog and my previous dog to Avenue Veterinary Practice for nearly 20 years. Every member of staff shows professionalism, care and compassion for both my dogs and myself. The staff are kind, caring and truly passionate about what they do. I would highly recommend Avenue

  Great care is always taken to listen to our concerns and the path forward. Staff have a genuine care for my pet and support sensible financial plans, with no pressure. Clean and comfortable facilities. They respond promptly in emergencies.

  I’m having no choice but to rehome my cat after having him for over 9 years. I enquired about euthanasia because I honestly didn’t think he would be able to settle anywhere else and it was explained to me by the male receptionist that the vets would not do this so I made arrangements for my cat to go back the rescue where I originally got him for rehoming. During the conversation I got the feeling that he was being offhand with me but I didn’t say anything because I was so distraught about the situation. I needed to get his injections up to date but was told that there were no appointments for the next 9 days! Again I just accepted that and made the appointment. The rescue then phoned and said that there was a space for him at the weekend (3 days away) so I phoned the vets back to see if I could get an earlier appointment and was told by the lovely female receptionist who answered the phone no problem and to bring him in the next morning!! When I arrived at the vets there was nobody waiting, just a dog that was being seen. The vet that I saw was absolutely lovely, kind and professional. Why was I told there were no appointments? There was no understanding or compassion from the male receptionist. This is the hardest thing that I’ve had to do. Whether he agreed with it or not should not come in to it. I would recommend the Vet practice but not him

  With a few generations of much loved cats & dogs I have used this practice since I was 7 years old! Lovely to deal with an independent veterinary practice, as there are not many left these days, sadly. Our old boy Zac is a 14 year old cat with a heart murmur, we saw Vicki who was just lovely with him and reassured us that he is doing ok for his age and offered some helpful advice to us. He had his boosters and a thorough check up and we were happily on our way again. Definitely recommend this practice 100%

  Veterinary staff are friendly and very knowledgable. We were looked after by Neil and Hayley. I was instantly put at ease and felt like my puppy was in the best hands and well looked after. Would highly recommend!
