I would highly recommend this vet practice it is very clean and the staff are very friendly and make the entire experience pleasant bothe for people and pets. My 14 and half week old kitten even enjoyed the visit even though she had her vaccinations.

We’d always brought our own and my parents cats here, but after today we won’t be returning. Whilst the other staff were absolutely first class, the vet himself gave off some pretty strange vibes. Found it strange he made no eye contact as I walked in, and with a cat in full fear he didn’t even start by altering the tone of his voice. I appreciate time is precious, but turning the carry box upside down to a petrified cat isn’t exactly welcoming and it was all downhill from there. I immediately explained her vet anxiety and expressed a four year cycle of her needing to be dealt with by staff wearing big thick gloves as they do every year. He thought knew better and persisted by trying to give her an injection without support. He asked me to hold her down, and stupidly I obliged. She immediately lost all composure and went for the hissing, biting and scratching, unfortunately all in my direction. He then proceeded to cover her head with the towel from her carry box, which only served to cause further distress. Only after the cat was completely distressed did he decide to follow my advice and take her away so she could be effectively restrained by someone with the correct equipment. When he returned he asked about worming treatment. I queried what forms the treatment comes in as I only knew of spot on treatment. He asked why I asked, which was odd. I explained she reacted poorly to the spot on treatment last time as it clearly caused irritation. He then said we can prescribe a tablet, and before agreeing I asked the price. At this point, his unprofessionalism peaked, as clearly another 45 seconds of his life was too precious where he turned his back to me, let out the biggest sigh you’d expect from a pubescent 15 year old before delivering his answer. I spent £89.72 and left with an extremely distressed cat. We will not be returning, which is a great shame as the prior veterinarians at Shipley were very good. Clearly standards have dropped.

Kind, compassionate vets who take time to explain treatment options with me . They handle my pets gently and I won’t go anywhere else for my pets health .

I called to book an appointment for our dog Stan. He needed to be vaccinated as he will be going into kennels in March. The staff couldn't be more helpful in booking an early appointment and explaining the process. When I went to the vets our dog was very scared. Both the staff & the vet did a great job at calming him down. Great vets, great people and a very good experience. Thank you 😁

Fantastic vets, always friendly and helpful. At my previous dogs end of life appointment the care shown to us and her was something I’ll always remember. At such an upsetting time it’s great to have reassurance for your pet so they’re not stressed and they were so kind. The paw print we received in the post afterwards I’ll never forget and will always hold dear. This is why our new puppy was registered here. Couldn’t be happier with the care and treatments. Thank you 😊
