The practice only provides daytime care 8am to 6.30 and 12.30 on a Saturday. No hospital care or out of hours cover. These are provided by Yorkshire Vets at Thornbury. The practice did not have a surgeon who could conduct the required orthopaedic surgery although we were offered a £200 discount if we wished to risk him having only his second attempt. A peripatetic orthopaedic surgeon provided the necessary expertise and he was excellent. We received no clear information about the surgery needed and no aftercare appointment at all. Our dog was discharged in severe pain with minimal instructions and a recovery suit that was applied the wrong way round and she couldn't pass urine or faeces. We were chased the pay after the initial appointment to settle the bill even though we were waiting for a response from the insurance company. The nursing staff were rude and laughed at my questions. All we can do is vote with our feet and move to another practice.

I cannot praise this veterinary practice enough. I visited with my very ill dog. Unfortunately it was not a happy ending but the care and compassion showed to ourselves and Jess was second to none. Every member of staff on duty were kindness itself and it made an extremely sad day a little better.

After been let down massively by my current vets, Baildon Veterinary Centre couldn't have been more helpful and the receptionists that I spoke to were amazing and so caring. I had a pet that was in pain and nearing the end of life and they got me registered and I had an appointment with them within 5 minutes. They were extremely understanding and so caring towards my situation. Moving forward I will definitely be registering my other pets with them.
