  It's my first time with this branch (Downes) and I was already very happy with the Medivet Southend m but being a hospital I hesitated to take there my other, nervous pussycat. I asked Ellie in the reception at Downes vet if possible to schedule an appointment that was at a calm time. She found me one very soon and offered to make sure that it was with a doctor that is routinely at the clinic, so my cat could have a chance, in the future, to see the same vet for less stress. I happened to have Iris who was just utterly wonderful with my kitty. She was delicate in her handling of her, yet thorough. Very easy to follow all of her explanations and options that she recommended. She would think ahead with checks (due to my other kitty's genetic history and struggles) and she was warm and friendly. When she called me to tell me the results of Darlene's blood work she started the call with "First of all, it's all good news!" Which I really appreciated because it removed my anxiety factor and I could listen better to all the medical informations that followed. Vet visits are unavoidable but I am really glad it all went exactly as it did for my cat! Thanks everybody at Downes Medivet! This is a picture of Darlene the day after her visit, blissfully happy.

  Medivet have been BRILLIANT with our mini pinscher Daphne. As with many small dogs, she can be very difficult, especially at the vets - and yet medivet and continuously understanding, taking the time to explain everything, make every adjustment they can and providing top class care every time. In particular, I love that they are considerate and go above and beyond in their billing (for instance adding nail clipping for free during dental care). Brilliant vets who are clearly in it for the right reasons, from reception through to after care.

  The nurses, receptionist and doctors working at Medivet clinic in Leigh are a great example of friendliness, professionalism and care. They have always taken good care of Minnie and they are super helpful when I had to ask for appointments to be rescheduled or more clarification. A special thank to Viki and Iris for looking after Minnie, we are both super grateful. I totally recommend this clinic.

  We have a rescue dog who is very anxious, and the team here are always so wonderful with him. We always book in with Iris, who is absolutely amazing and helps keep him calm — he is much less stressed with a lady vet. Vicky, one of the veterinary assistants, is also so lovely and caring, and our dog absolutely adores her. The receptionists are fantastic too, always friendly and welcoming, and they really put your pet's wellbeing first. We're so grateful for the kindness and care shown every visit.
