In the last couple of weeks I’ve been to the practice twice. Once was when my daughter’s cat, that I was looking after, had a limp Ann’s the other for a routine annual check up and vaccinations. On both occasions the service was brilliant. The receptionists were friendly and helpful and the veterinarians were lovely with the cats and did what was needed in a way that was very calm leaving two very relaxed pets. In both cases the cost was perfectly reasonable. Needless to say I am a very happy customer and have been for over 40 years.

New to the area so a new vet was needed. I was looking for a monthly health plan & a surgery that has hospital access in case of emergencies. This ticked all boxes. Convenient location, friendly staff (was very impressed how the vet listened to me & adjusted what we were doing based on the animal) & top notch cleanliness. Would happily recommend.

We can’t thank Hail Vets enough for the care, compassion, and professionalism they’ve shown with all of our cats over the years. Adam and Alison have been truly outstanding — from helping us through difficult moments and delivering bad news with such kindness, to guiding our pets back to good health with real dedication. It’s the little touches that make all the difference here: when there’s been a loss, the quiet candle and the sign asking others to be respectful show such genuine empathy. Even being told we didn’t have to worry about the bill straight away was a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot. Kate on reception is also wonderful — always warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. She remembers the animals by name, keeps a stash of dog treats behind the desk, and makes every visit feel personal. It’s clear that everyone at Hail Vets truly loves what they do and understands just how much our pets mean to us.

Lovely Vets, always clean and friendly. I arrived early for my appointment but I didn't have long to wait and was seen early. The vet was great and gave Baxter my dog, a good check over and a clean bill of heath.

Thank you for a brilliant service at our routine appointment yesterday. We have been coming to Hale vets in Calne and Chippenham for over 20 years, kind and caring vets, nurses and reception staff, always able to fit us in with our 2 cats if we’re worried about something and very quickly arrange emergency treatment if needed. We wouldn’t go anywhere else.
