My dog is very nervous of vets and particularly guarded when he has me with him. He is great when he is taken away from me for any treatment and I am always happy when he returns. I have always had good experiences so far and await information on some dental costs for a future procedure.

I was very pleased that the vet came up with a sensible option for my 12 year old labradoodle with a heart murmur so instead of sedation she suggested the old fashioned route of Tablets to fight and infection in his anull glads. If more vets took that approach they wouldn't get such bad press!

We brought our cat to Chalklands for a somewhat emergency consultation, she wasn't registered with them but they were great and managed to fit in an appointment the same day. Sadly in the end we had to put our lovely cat to sleep, something my partner and myself had not been through before. Chalklands approach to this was full of heart and thoughtfulness, the staff at the Chippenham and Calne office were so friendly, helpful and always happy to answer questions. We're very thankful to Charlotte who gave us plenty of time and space on the day with our cat. She explained everything clearly and made us feel comfortable. Most importantly though she made our cat Mitzi comfortable in her last moments. The after care approach was impeccable as well, we wish our experience with Chalklands was under different circumstances. If we do get another cat in the future, we'll definitely be registering with them.

I accidentally left a ‘one star review’. Well this practice deserves 6. I arrived in a very anxious state because of something relating to my adopted (Greek) dog. I went home reassured and relaxed and my dog has been so well looked after with condition existing when she came to me. Of course I want the best for my dog, but we humans do worry. If you want the best for YOU and your dog, this is the place.

We recently moved our four dogs to Chalkland and it is the best decision we ever made. The reception staff are very friendly and professional. The veterinary care is exceptional, in the short time we have been with chalkland, we have seen 3 different vets and they have all been incredibly thorough and kind. This veterinary practice is absolutely superb and we are safe in the knowledge that our dogs are in the best hands. Would highly recommend chalkland.
