Excellent vets. The reception staff are so helpful and go out of their way to make it as easy as possible for you to access services. They are also so friendly and welcoming. All the nurses and vets I have met are lovely. They obviously really care for animals and wanted the best for my cat. They were great at explaining everything to you so you understood things fully and really took the time to make sure all your questions were answered and you were reassured. They did such a fantastic job of looking after my cat when she was spayed, chipped and vaccinated. I felt calm knowing she was in the best hands, with people who genuinely cared for her. Not only this but their care plans are also good value for money whilst being excellent quality. I would highly recommend to anyone.

First time at Chalkands for our litter Sidney the Grey.. (mainecoon cross kitten) I have to say all the other reviews here when checking out vets in the area were spot on.. the staff are amazing, really caring. Greet treats and a big bag of biscuits after his op for health and dietary needs!! Absolutely brilliant.. wish the doctors was like this! 😬

I can’t recommend this veterinary practice highly enough. I’ve visited them on numerous occasions — from routine check-ups for my dog and cat, to emergency appointments, and sadly, even when I had to say goodbye to my beloved cat. They also continue to care for my dog, who has epilepsy, and I couldn’t ask for better support. The vets take the time to explain everything clearly and work with genuine dedication to find the best treatment options, allowing him to lead a happy, normal life. On every single visit, I’ve been met with kindness, understanding, and expert care from the entire team. Their professionalism and compassion make even the most difficult experiences that bit easier, and it’s clear how much they truly care for both the animals and their owners. I’d also like to give a special mention to Sammi on reception, who is an absolute credit to the practice. My dog absolutely adores her — she’s always there to fuss over him, offer him treats, and make such a big deal of him every time we visit. You can tell how much she genuinely loves animals, and her warmth and kindness shine through in everything she does. She always goes above and beyond — whether it’s fitting us in at short notice, processing last-minute medication requests, offering reassuring words during stressful times, or greeting us with her friendly smile. She’s fantastic at her job and makes every visit, phone-call or email to the practice that much more pleasant. Thank you all for the exceptional care and kindness you continue to show — it means the world to me and my pets. 🩵🐾

We were really nervous to join a new vets with our rescue dog Peaches but we were met with nothing but kindness and understanding. A very welcoming non judgement environment! For once, I won’t dread vet visits. The app is also extremely helpful for making appointments, payments, and asking any questions. Would recommend to anyone 🥰

Customer service at it's finest for both puppy and puppy parent, it's reassuring to know I have a kind , caring and knowledgeable Team, from Reception , Nursing to the Veterinarians, all on hand as I navigate through having a new family member Walter 'Wally' the Jack Russell. We aren't new to Chalkland but not used their services in a while ,it's fantastic to find out they are still deserving of a 5 star rating !
