I went with my Jack russell to get annal glands and her nails done. She's a nervous wee thing but the vet was gentle with her and patient. Would highly recommend here
Read on Google →Recently had to go through the sudden loss of my beloved cat. The staff and vet were so kind and accommodating and even though I was a blubbering mess they looked after me with compassion and patience and gave me the time and space to say goodbye to my boy. They made him comfortable and took him out of pain swiftly and even offered me a custom momento (fur clipping & pawprints) which I wasn't expecting but which was very sweet and for which I am very grateful. Thoroughly recommended... a horrible experience to go through but the lovely people at Bridge Vets made it more bearable. This was Smudges last photo.

Read on Google →BRIDGE VETS – BRIDGE OF DON – I FEEL CONSTANTLY PUSHED TO SPEND MONEY FOR NO REAL REASON. I wasn’t planning to write a review, but since this has already happened three times, it’s starting to feel really frustrating. Each time, I deal with different vets or trainees — it’s not even clear who is who. 1️⃣ First situation: I have two cats, and I brought them for a routine check-up and worming treatment. My older cat is 7 years old, and we moved from Ukraine. He went through a lot of stress and gained about 2 kg here in Aberdeen, which affected his activity. The vet immediately suggested doing full tests and a check-up costing over £1000. I said I couldn’t afford it and didn’t think it was necessary. A few days later, I received an email saying I was right — such expensive testing wasn’t needed, and that it would make more sense to do a simple blood test for £85 first to decide if further checks were required. 2️⃣ Second situation: This one upset me even more. We changed my cat’s food to help him lose a bit of weight, and he got constipated — no stool for 7 days. I was very worried, but the vet kept refusing to do an enema. She went out to consult a colleague, and I could hear their conversation — the door wasn’t even closed. They said that if they gave me a laxative to take home and it worked, I wouldn’t come back the next day, and they would lose money. I felt so sorry for my cat — it was horrible to hear that. Thankfully, they gave me the laxative in the end, and everything was fine. But it shouldn’t have been about profit over my pet’s wellbeing. 3️⃣ Third situation: We were told to come in to get the worming tablets, as they said they couldn’t prescribe them without seeing the cats. The bill came to £187 for a visit that lasted less than 10 minutes. My cat’s eye was watery, and they charged £61 for a full consultation plus £10 for a Fluorescein Test. The receptionist even took it upon herself to increase the amount, saying it should be a “full consultation,” even though initially it was meant to be just a simple visit — which, as it turned out later, is usually free (something I didn’t know). And the medicine prices are shocking — at least triple the online cost: Maxitrol Drops 0.1% (5ml) – £33.88 here vs £9.69 online Credello Cat 2–8kg – £61.74 here vs £36.79 online You already earn on consultations — why make clients feel cheated too? The people before me were offered the Pet Health Club, but I had to ask for the leaflet myself. Where’s the service and care in that? I’m really disappointed. I understand that vets need to earn money, but please don’t do it in a way that makes loyal clients feel deceived.
Read on Google →I inadvertently forgot to pay my last £32 bill because their till was down when I collected the meds…..and then it completely slipped my mind afterwards. No call or email and the first letter they claim they sent me never arrived. I’m on first name terms with some the staff at the surgery with being there so often, so would’ve thought someone would’ve reached out to remind me. But sadly no, the personal touch is non-existent it would seem and a threatening letter is their “protocol” I am told. Spoke to a manager who couldn’t have cared less about my loyalty over the years and how unusual it is for me not to settle my account (I have spent THOUSANDS with them!). The same practice which charged me 23p for a couple of syringes a few months back. This is also the practice where I once could hear the staff in reception slagging off one of the other team behind her back, when I was sat in the waiting room. I’d like to thank Christine (vet) for looking after Samson, and Clare & Katie, who worked at the desk previously and were very professional, kind & caring too. Bridge Vets is not the vet surgery it once was and that makes me very sad. After almost 20 years, I won’t be back.
