  I am prompted to write to put my gratitude on record. Our young miniature long-haired dachshund, Scapa, has been very ill this week and was admitted to Vets Now Guildford on Wednesday night. From the moment we arrived, we received clear information and empathy and left her at the hospital feeling she was in safe and expert hands. We received a text in the middle of the night updating us on how she was, which we greatly welcomed. I was struck by how dedicated and hard-working the staff are. Thank you very much!

  Compassion with common sense management by a most sensitive vet (surprisingly high cost of the consultation, ultrasound scan, iv cannula and prescription knocks off a star) for our acutely sick Labrador. Turned out she was terminally ill (probably a malignant heart tumour) and died the next day at our own vet's. We were so glad to be able to take her home for her last few hours.

  We had a positive experience with Vets Now whilst our family dog was unexpectedly really unwell out of hours. Vet Alex Currie was brilliant, very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time speaking through our available options and giving us transparent, straight talking advice. The only part that slightly let down the process was the nurse on discharge. Her tone suggested we were asking for too much in requesting our dog’s notes in advance, ready for the onward vet who needed to continue hospitalisation and treatment, as I was told that this is not standard. My perspective is that when you are paying a very extortionate premium for out of hours services (understandable given the nature of the practice) it is the very least to expect that notes can be transferred expeditiously to ensure a seamless transition of onward care and treatment. The poor tone also continued when I had to call to ask for the notes to be sent over again, as the onward vet had not received them. Perhaps if I wasn’t so emotional about how unwell my dog has been, I wouldn’t have taken offence to the tone so much, but the reality is that you are dealing with very sensitive patients and owners and bedside manner is imperative. We all want the same and the best for our animals and it would have been nice if that was perhaps borne in mind with regards to my requests for the expeditious transfer of notes. Thank you in any event - the rest of the experience was brilliant and we are super grateful for the support and care overall.

  I couldn’t be more grateful. My dog is very anxious and reactive, but the vet was calm, patient and confident, and managed to examine him without causing him any stress at all. We never felt rushed, and we left feeling reassured, grateful and confident that he had received the best possible care.Thank you.

  I just wanted to express my gratitude for the care you provided during my dog’s emergency visit this weekend. From the moment I called, everything was handled so efficiently and with such kindness. The receptionist was especially sweet, and the entire facility was spotless, with clearly separated areas for each pet and owner. Although the clinic was very busy—there were around 7 or 8 pets waiting—my wait was about an hour, and I completely understood as the triage prioritized more urgent cases. The vet surgeon was excellent—very busy but still patient, explaining everything thoroughly. The cost was on the high side, but thankfully it’s covered by my insurance. The visit was on Sunday 28/06/2026
