  We lost our dog last week and have taken a while to get over the loss. We decided to deliver 3 large bags of bedding,blankets,towels etc. Plus food stuff, frontline and lots of other stuff. We had to wait outside,although after opening time, for someone to come. All they did was take the bags from the car boot walk back through the gate and thow the bags into a shed. There was no thank you and no interest in the donation. Totally unacceptable, I was tempted to ask for the bags back.

  I don’t know if I'm doing something wrong but staff genuinely seem to not care less about people with a genuine interest in adopting. I have been twice in the past few months and both times the staff barely looked up at us and when we asked about dogs that were advertised as being available for adoption they had been reserved and information hadn’t been changed. Tried to have a conversation about viewing other suitable dogs or about being contacted if things fell through and they just were uninterested. It made me feel so uncomfortable and disheartened.

  We rescued our beautiful lurcher Maize from here a couple of weeks ago. He’s come on leaps and bounds in just 2 weeks time and is the most affectionate, loving, funny dog we could have wished for. There are so many beautiful dogs in this rescue in need of a loving home and rescuing a dog is one of the most challenging but amazing things you could ever do. If you’re looking for a dog please do try to rescue a fur baby in need apposed to buying from puppy farms / breeders. They’re so grateful for a full belly, warm bed and lots of cuddles!
