The reception staff and some of the vets are very friendly, however they seem to put profit over pet care. Our cat Kiara went in with various symptoms, had a blood test and urine test and was told it was likely a urine infection. Advised an ultrasound at £600 and antibiotics. We tried the antibiotics for over a week but no effect, and she rapidly lost weight and went downhill. We ended up taking her at night to the out of hours service at foots cray, ran by vetsforpets, where she met a lovely vet named Claudia who was fantastic. She kept her in overnight and did a 'quick scan ultrasound' for only £50 to rule anything out. This found Kiara had Lymphoma cancer. She is now on her last days and Im just angry that if Oval Pet Center had given a quick scan 3 weeks erlier she could of got the correct treatment and had a far better quality of life through all this. When asked why they dont offer a quick scan, they had no answer. I know why; they didnt offer it to try and force people into paying £600 over £50. This has me furious. An ultrasound machine is the same whether you do a detailed scan or not. This seems a deliberate attempt to get more money, instead of the WELFARE of the animals! Would never recommend them to anyone! If you really need a competent, caring vet, go to Claudia at vets for pets in foots cray after 6pm.

The Oval Veterinary Centre provides exceptional care. They saw my dog, Buddy, as an emergency. He was attacked by another dog. He received puncture wounds to his face. The vet, Peter, was amazing with Buddy. Buddy can be really nervous. Peter’s calm nature instills confidence in Buddy and myself.Alison and Wendy on reception were also amazing. They took my frantic call. They offered me calm in a moment of panic. The clinic itself is always spotlessly clean. This gave me extra peace of mind during a stressful visit. As always, a five-star service. Thank you oval team Laura and Buddy 🐾

My little kitty is a rescue and very anxious about going to the vets (and some am I!) the team were absolutely amazing, really kind and reassuring. From the reception staff to the nurse who saw us, we both felt really well looked after. There was no rushing, lots of patience and kindness. It’s brilliant that the reception space is really large and allows for cats and dogs to be away from each other. I would absolutely recommend :)

Have used this vets for my previous cats when they were very poorly and had to be put to sleep. The vet and staff were amazing then. I had to book an appointment for my cat as he's getting old and managed to get a same day appointment. The vet was wonderful and so kind to our fur baby. He's got to go back after his blood tests results come back but definitely wouldn't go anywhere else.
