I came to this place the first time and the receptionist was nice, the doctor was nice too But it was very obvious this was going to be more about money than caring for my dog. They tried to convince me to sign up for ridiculous £5k finance with Xray and surgery where the issue could have been treated by medication and it has. I am glad I left and looked for advice somewhere else. All I spent was £49 on medication and my pet was saved and well within 24 hours. This place only cares about cash sadly as many out there
Read on Google →we unfortunately had to have our cat put to sleep but the receptionist and vets and nurses we’re so helpful and kind and understanding. They did lovely little paw and nose prints for us and fur clippings, they were incredibly compassionate and looked after Sapphire as best as they possibly could right up until the very end. I can’t thank you all enough for all your help and support throughout this whole process.

Read on Google →Thank you to Mead Vets for the professionalism and care you’ve shown my dog, Tia, until her final moments. She was like a puppy again in her last months, thanks to your care. This practice is full of lovely people who showed nothing but love to my Tito.
Read on Google →Be careful! Our toy poodle got hit by a car when she was 4 months old. We took her there because it was the closest place. The ER doctors were nice and said she only had a contusion on her shoulder and face and that she would be fine. They asked us to bring her back a few days later. When we did, the “orthopedic surgeon” took an X-ray and concluded that the ligaments in her shoulder were broken and that she needed major surgery to reconstruct them; otherwise, she would never walk again and would always be in pain. He said that after the surgery she would have to spend 4 months inside a cage. The next morning we came back ready for the surgery, and then he said he suspected the dog had a malformation in her shoulder. He gave us the option of doing a CT scan to confirm it or directly fusing the entire shoulder joint, arguing that it was a fairly safe procedure with good results. He also offered « talk to the boss to make it cheaper ». Two minutes on Google told me the opposite… Suspicious of him, I took my dog on a plane back to my home country to see one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the country. The result? He said that no X-ray can confirm that ligaments are torn. Neither the physical examinations pointed that way. The proposed surgery was extremely risky, with very few guarantees, and he believed that the ligaments were still attached and that, because she was so young, a good recovery routine at home would be enough and no surgery or hospital treatment would be needed. After 6 weeks she was walking and running almost normally. Today she is 1 year old and runs and jumps like crazy, without ever showing any signs of pain, hesitation, or limitation. She is perfectly fine. I believe that surgeon should be ashamed enough to never practice again, and that the clinic should fire him immediately. But I guess business is business, so at the very least, you—as an owner—can save your pet from falling into the hands of someone so heartless. My deepest respect goes to the first doctor who saw my dog; she was amazing, as were the staff attending the clients.
