The vet was nice but the appointment was delayed 15 minutes we arrived early so we were waiting for some time , when we finally got called and our pet got her checkup they tried to charge use alot more than what was actually supposed to be payed. At medivet them themselves have posted that the first appointment is free for pets under 1 year our pet met this criteria but when we told them they claimed it's false , the vet let us of saying it wasn't true , but it is , you can search online and look on the actual website . There was lot of miscommunication between the staff and the customers , would not attend again.

They don't seem to care about their clients. Got a large quote from them to perform some extractions for our cat. Supposedly needs to be done asap. We had questions. Called 3 times on 3 different days asking to speak to a vet or have one call us. No one phoned. Have found a different vet.

Been using Medivet New Cross for three years with my Staffy. Always find the staff pleasant and take their time. Appointments are easy to arrange with helpful reminders when they are due. We use the Pet Plan, which includes health checks every six months, annual vaccinations and monthly worming tablets - it is good value.

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I want to warn any animal parents to stay away from Medivet if they want to keep their babies healthy and alive. Last year I left my cat for a spaying surgery only to receive the worst imaginable call in my life, they cut the wrong tube and my cat required a lifesaving surgery that involved kidney removal in order to survive. I brought them a happy and healthy kitty and left with a kitty with one kidney. Luckily, the vet surgeon from Davies Vet Specialists where she was transported saved her precious life. Moreover, they promised that they were going to cover all the expenses connected to any procedures needed in order to monitor her kidney and they did not keep their promise either, we kept paying during every visit for her kidney health check and they tried to keep pushing me to pay £500 for blood tests and this was the last straw for me. At least you could have kept your promise to look after her health. I'm still very lucky that my baby girl didn't die because of their negligence...

My 17yrs Millie sadly passed on the morning of Sunday 21st September. She become ill 3 weeks earlier with shallow breathing and loss of appetite. I had 3 appointments in 2 weeks and on all 3 occasion I was seen by a different veterinarian, all advised me to get her a heart scan. The first estimate given was £860(with over stay at the clinic) On my 2nd visit I was quoted £1200 and on my 3rd visit I was given an estimation of £1800!!!! They refused to prescribe Millie ANY heart medication unless a scan was done. I went to another independent veterinary clinic and was told they could prescribe medication to help with Millies breathing. To give context why I was hesitated. 6 year ago I had a 10 yr old pomeranian called Rocco who had similar breathing issues (common in the breed) as Millie. JH had advised me Rocco need a blood test, heart scan and X-ray to help determine and to resolve this issue. I was given a rough estimate for the entire procedure including medication of £1,000 to £1200 which I agreed to. The final cost was over £1500 and Rocco passed 10 days later. Been with JH for over 10 years and they have become a money grab. Ever since Medivet took over the service have become money first!
