  Good practice when there is consistency, otherwise it is difficult in times of stress and need. Nurses and reception are lovely. I would not recommend the beckenham branch.

  This practice used to feel like a caring family vet. Since the takeover the experience has changed significantly and now feels very transactional. After my dog was switched from NexGard to Simparica Trio for flea and worm treatment she developed around fifty lumps across her body within hours and began losing large amounts of fur. I was told it was idiopathic, meaning no known cause, despite the clear timing following the medication change. She was later diagnosed with panniculitis and given steroids which improved things. At a recent routine check after dental work costing around £600 the nurse was unsure why her hair loss had restarted and began preparing steroids before the vet had even assessed her. I declined because no cause had been identified. When the vet came in I asked if she could briefly check my dog’s gait and watch a short video of her front foot as I was concerned about her walking. I was told another appointment would be needed. The human touch that once existed has gone. There is little time for discussion and everything feels appointment driven rather than patient centred. I also cancelled my monthly plan after being told she would need a private prescription to return to her previous medication. Reception informed me payments would continue regardless because of the contract and that I could either accept alternative treatments or pay extra privately. Overall the focus now feels financial rather than welfare based which is very disappointing given how supportive this practice once was.It's such a shame as all the vets and nurses and receptionists that were once there have now all left too although there are some great receptionist there just the care has gone down hill so badly! What a pity!

  I am extremely disappointed with the standard of care my pet received following his castration at this practice. Immediately after the procedure, the cone provided was too small and did not prevent him from reaching his surgical wound. As a result, he was able to interfere with the area, leading to further complications that have since been identified. This could and should have been avoided with properly fitted post-operative equipment. I was also concerned to find that the discharge paperwork was not accurate in relation to the medication he had received, which caused confusion during his aftercare. Accurate documentation is a basic expectation, particularly following surgery. In addition, if a complication had already been identified prior to discharge, I do not understand why he was sent home rather than being kept for observation or treatment. This raises serious concerns regarding clinical judgement. Throughout this experience, I was left feeling that the level of training and oversight may not be where it should be, given the issues that occurred. After seeking a second opinion from another local veterinary practice, we made the decision to transfer our cat there for further assessment and urgent surgery. I have now lost confidence in this practice. I also found the pricing to be extremely high, particularly given the issues that arose. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice.

  My dog became unexpectedly very unwell. The Bromley medivet team saw him immediately and were compassionate and kind to him, me and my husband. Thanks to the treatment received he is now doing much better and recovering well. We are so grateful. Thank you.

  Our cocker spaniel Gus had a routine vaccination appointment (2yrs +) although he is at a really wriggly stage he was carefully supported and unfazed by his visit. His tail is still wagging, thank you.
