I've been using Cherrydown vets for years for my little (old) cat Ellie. The staff are exceptional and the vets very knowledgeable and friendly. The best bit is there are separate areas for different animals so your cat/rabbit doesn't sit with the dogs. They also have Feliway diffusers so your cat stays relaxed. I noticed there is also a 'puppy crate' for those needing extra protection/isolation. Very good, highly recommended

Cherrydown Vets, Basildon you are an utter disgrace! We have been with you for 25 years and all our pets are registered with you. On Friday our 18 year old Pomeranian was dying and literally screaming in pain and your receptionist could hear him and said you couldn't see him!! We begged for help to get him put to sleep so he was out of pain but you offered us nothing! You once used to care about animals but not any more. You are an absolute disgrace. Call yourself a caring profession? Not any more at Cherrydown obviously. We will never set foot inside your practice every again. We are utterly heartbroken, Scooby deserved so much better from you. Thankfully the PDSA have a heart and hearing his screams had him in immediately and our special boy is at peace.

Cherrydown Vets is an amazing practice. Since changing to them last year, my dogs have been treated like Queens. Unfortunately one of my dogs lola went over the rainbow bridge in December 25 and the staff were so lovely and caring. They treated lola like a queen until her final breath. My other dog Dolly has always been made to feel like she is the only one in the room and made a fuss off. She is treated like one of the team. The vets are professional and knowledgeable and all the staff including the receptionist are amazing. Highly recommend

Very sadly, After recently loosing our beautiful male cat to a careless driver outside home, Cherrydown handled the situation wonderfully. He had gone before a caring neighbour had arrived with him, Cherrydown provided a blanket to snuggle him into and a 'quiet' room to be able to say our heartfelt goodbye. A few days after the tragic accident, they sent a lovely sympathy card to us, which was a lovely personal touch. Thank you for being so professional and caring towards our boy, "Woody"

First ever vet visit with new adopted dog who needed a check over which we got within 3 days. Lovely service, great staff and the vet was quick, efficient and caring. Two short courses of pills and the standard consultation fee £78. Seems reasonable so far Unusually I noticed something important to report si asked to see a manager as had an important message for them, won't share the reason until its addressed but its not due to pet welfare. The free help which should have been fixed in 2 minutes was acknowledged and i wasn't thanked for it and it remains the same 5 days later. Please phone me if my advice is needed please Update 2025 my dawg returns after 3 years and was treated quickly and efficiently, advice and medication provided and I believe the cost seemed reasonable, follow up appointment booked. Recognised one of the staff from last time who was fantastic then and fantastic today. Nicola T is a credit to the practice, made a fuss of my dawg and was naturally concerned and interested what was prescribed.
