I've used several different vets, spanning over the many years I've had cats and dogs, and so far, Forestside Vets have been consistent, responsive, supportive and understanding. I can't fault, only praise. The service provided by all staff, from the receptionists to the vets is outstanding. So far, my dog has seen one vet over several visits (Andrew) - I've never experienced this level of continuity and consistency in any practice. Highly recommend!

Visited the vet yesterday for the first time with my hamster Jojo. I was quite nervous as no other vets would see him due to him being classed as an exotic, but it turned out to be the best experience. The receptionist was absolutely lovely, and Andrew was amazing. I only rescued Jojo a few months ago and he’s quite timid and not very used to being handled, but Andrew took him out as if he’d known him forever! Jojo was completely at ease, which really put my mind at rest. It also gave me so much confidence in how to hold and handle Jojo properly. He had a full examination, and they even rang today to check how he’s doing, which was such a thoughtful touch. I can’t recommend this vet highly enough. Thank you

Forestside Vets have been amazing with Marla 💜 Marla used to hate going to the vet's & it was a stressful experience for her, last year we made the decision to swap to Forestside & by far it was it was the best decision we made! We went on to do confidence building sessions to make the experience less stressful for her. Then a couple of months later at the start of June, we found a lump on her chest, which turned out to be a Mast Cell Tumour. The whole staffs care for Marla was amazing! Andrew & Rory answered any questions that I had, never rushed any appointments, emails were replied too quickly, etc. On Marla's last session of chemo, they held her a little Pawty & Amanda made Marla a cake to celebrate 💜 Now, whenever I say to Marla, "is it time for the vets", she gets extremely excited & cannot wait to get inside! We cannot recommend Forestside Vets enough! They have been amazing, & we are extremely thankful for everything that they've done for Marla 💜 If you are looking for a vet in Belfast, definitely check out Forestside Vets! They are definitely the best about 💜🐶

I could not recommend this Vet practice enough. As the owner of a very nervous dog, the team reassured me that he would be fine when going in to have a lump removed. I felt so at ease and trusted the team fully. Really brilliant staff and a great experience during stressful times. Andrew was very patient with both my dogs when we visited!

I recently registered with Forestside vet after reading the great reviews on here and the reviews are right, this is a great practice. I also checked out their Facebook page and was delighted to see how the vets and veterinary team are so animal focused , down to earth and have such a great sense of humour. (Check out their Facebook page it's hilarious) I went onto the website and was delighted that I could register both my cats online and the process was very straightforward. Fast forward to today my old boy Scruffy developed pain, discomfort and bloating in his stomach, as well as not eating and being violently sick so I got him booked in for my first appointment. Making the appointment was easy and we were seen within the hour. Upon arrival I was greeted by a lovely receptionist who knew it was myself and Scruffy, the reception area is covered in thank you cards, which tells you all you need to know. I didn't have to wait long to be seen and Donal the vet came out to introduce himself and was quite welcoming. Donal listened very carefully to everything Scruffy was experiencing for the past four days, details about his meds etc and then gave him a thorough examination and explained clearly what tests would be needed to get to the bottom of what was making Scruff so sick. He also helped me understand how it all works with insurance as I've not claimed before. Making the experience so much easier. I was also advised of the costs for tests and treatment so there were no shocking surprises. Scruffy got bloods and x-rays done on the same day and Donal advised me that another vet ( Andrew McQuaid) would contact me in the afternoon with Scruffys results which was great because it's so worrying having to wait for results. Andrew called within an hour and a half and provided me with information over the phone with Scruffys results and detailed what was revealed on the scan, which I also appreciated, rather than that dreaded drive not knowing what you would be told. Upon collecting Scruff , I met Andrew who was covering reception and he showed me Scruffys x-ray and explained everything so clearly. So down to earth and highly knowledgeable. They also sent his x-ray to a specialist in Dublin to rule anything out before the final results and treatment were provided. Extremely thorough. Great experience, amazing vets who listen and care about you and your pet. Scruffy is home now and is much better thank goodness. I know I've chosen a great and caring vet practice which is rare these days . I would definitely recommend this practice because your pets will be in great hands.
