Been with my cat today the car park was iced over not a bit of grit in sight, this company makes thousands of pounds I would say daily and yet they don't have the thought to put some grip down for the many customers that are coming into the car park on a day like this not just the customers but the staff as well.🙄🙄 Apart from that I didn't have a very good consultation I asked for a cheaper alternative to a steroid injection for my cat and I was given tablets but when I got to the till I was horrified to find that the bill was more than the steroid injection she was given at the end of October last year so I had to wait a while and eventually I went back and spoke to the vet and he tried to give me some kind of explanation as to how it would work out cheaper long term but as I explained to him my cat does not need to have steroid injections throughout the year only at this time of year when it's cold and she is spending more time inside so in the end we ditched the tablets that were going to work out quite costly and my cat had another steroid injection which worked out the same as what we paid at the end of October last year. It seems that according to Google the vets do not put grit down because it can be harmful to a dog's paws but if the receptionist had had that knowledge she would have been able to tell me there and then instead she said she didn't know whether any grit had been put down or not and I said no it hadn't.

The most outstanding vets I've ever used, they are great with all our animals even our rats (which is hard to find). The animals come first and they've been extremely compassionate and supportive when we've had to make the hardest decisions. We have seen various vets at the clinic and all of them have been amazing.

We have used Donaldsons for 19 years with Martin and Jeremy until they passed away 9 years ago - an age that they contributed to massively We now have a Rescue Blue Russian boy and he required a visit after some nausea after a vaccination The treatment was brilliant and he recovered the next day We highly recommend Donaldsons vets and will continue using them for years

We think our Border Collie ate something toxic outside. She was wobbly and twitching. Donaldsons in Mirfield were excellent. As it was weekend she was transferred to the Somerset Road branch and put on a drip. They scanned her and kept her in overnight. The vets were very good and also the nurses. She came back home the following day and seems fine. It is good to know they are there when we needed them.

We usually go to the Shepley Donaldson’s as our usual practice for our cats, but recently we have had a few scary instances with our cat Slash and he has been ill for a few weeks, the Almondbury branch are always so supportive and fit us in immediately. Yesterday we came for a standard hours appointment as Slash was unwell again, they fit us in immediately and I had the best experience with the vet Natalie who was so helpful with all the information and she also went out of her way to call me this morning to check on him again. Both Shepley and Almondbury vets are so loving towards my cats and always remember us when we come in, and are always up for cuddles with Slash which he loves. The team also respect my choice to have my cat on a lead instead of in a carry case as this makes him anxious, where in some instances I haven’t had this much of a positive response, they know my cat is very well behaved and trained and respect that. They are also always more than willing to find medications that work around his endless allergies and always go above and beyond for him. Can’t recommend Donaldson’s enough! Thank you so much for your help and support this past year ♥️
