Stay clear of Castle Vets, I took my dog to get laxatives as he was constipated the female vet told me dogs do not get constipated, I said he was she then told me he is most likely building up to having upset bowls diarrhea. I asked again for laxatives but was told again they don't get constipated, after him having a antisickness injection and giving me list of what I can get on amazon to help upset bowels. That was Wednesday. By Saturday he was very uncomfortable we took him to the Farnborough branch as Castle Vets closed on Saturday. I explained what had happened and the vet there looked bit confused when I told her about dogs not getting constipated. He ended up having a xray that showed he was very very constipated and they took out as much as they could we went home with laxatives!!! Over a 900 pound bill that could have been avoided if I had been given them in the first place.i complained to Castle Vets, there response was the vet said she didn't say that and basically I'm a lier, had no call to ask my side and now they are saying he got constipated between the two visits, absolutely disgusting treatment. I am so angry I will be taking this further and to dismiss me as a lier and just take young vets word .

I've been with castle vets for years with minor use which was fine, but recently I have had two significant issues. The first being a cruciate ligament operation which required a £7k op to fix. I had insurance so I thought I'd be fine, especially as this was my first claim in 9 years of insurance, but due to a comment hidden in the vets notes that hadn't been passed on to me, this was invalidated and no payout. Then I had an issue with a tooth abscess, I asked the vet to x-ray the mouth and address the abscess and they assured me that there was no way that the results of the tests and scans could be caused by the abscess and sent me off to an expensive animal hospital for a £3.5k CT scan. This told us that it was the abscess that was the root cause. The vets should be better informed or not make incorrect claims when such large sums of money are involved. Finally I sent the claim form through to them on the 14th November, chased on the 18th and finally got a reply on the 19th saying it would be sent to the insurance company on the 20th. It is now the 3rd December and they've still not sent it. Appalling Service! Update 8/12 - In response to the owners response, I'd advise that I have contacted the vets on that email address and asked to raise a formal complaint with a manager on the 3/12, as of today I am still waiting for this to happen...

I love taking my girls to Castle Vets, the staff are very attentive and give my girly dogs lots of attention. Both ladies have had surgeries through this practice and the aftercare is first-rate. The receptionist Judith is especially caring and gives my girls a big fuss everything she sees them. I can’t recommend high enough.
