I recently registered with Wood Street vets as my senior cat was poorly. I saw two different vets this past week and both were excellent. They reassured me, gave a thorough examination and broke down the price of any treatment and medication. After a stressful and worrying week, Maddox the cat is now feeling a lot better and has been showing signs of improvement. I feel at ease knowing that I can go to Wood Street with any concerns and know they will provide great care. It also goes without saying that obviously vet trips are expensive but you cannot put a price on this level of care and knowing your pet is in good hands. Thank you everyone at Wood Street! Maddox will be coming in soon again for his vaccinations :)

Sorry for the SUPER LONG and soppy review, but it needs to be said! My old pup, Lucky, used to be registered at a different vet, but we used to go here for years to the Vets Now emergency service that operates in this hospital at night. However, when the Wood Street Veterinary day staff would take over, they would always treat my boy with dignity, the best level of care and love. Lucky passed very suddenly and unexpectedly in this hospital in July of 2025. Both the Vets Now and Wood Street Vets staff gave us time to grieve, cry and cuddle our boy, and prepared gifts with our boy's fur and paw prints. They were beyond loving and caring towards both us and our baby, Lucky. Despite their beautiful care, I didn't think I'd ever be able to drive past this hospital again without a pit of grief in my stomach. Months passed, and my dad couldn't bear life without a companion, and asked for another furry friend. We decided to welcome Teddy (an absolute rascal) into our lives. The first place I thought to take him to register wasn't Lucky's original vets; it was Wood Street Vets, the place where Lucky found peace in his final moments. Now, Teddy gets to walk the same halls that I brought Lucky through all those nights where he would get into something he shouldn't have! Whenever Teddy and I visit, we say hi to the staff, the little ginger cat that lives on site, and Lucky's favourite pee spot by the corner before the gate to the car park. I've added a picture of both of my boys, who I'm forever grateful have been able to experience the loving care that the wonderful people who work here provide. Lucky is the little Yorkshire Terrier and Teddy is the black and white Havanese :)

I first came across this veterinary practice during an emergency visit with my dog, Pinks, who sadly had to be put to sleep. Despite such a difficult situation, I was genuinely impressed by both the facilities and the compassion shown by the team. That experience gave me the confidence to move my other dog, Barney, into their care. From that point on, every member of staff—vets, nurses, and reception—consistently went above and beyond. They managed Barney’s condition with such care and professionalism, significantly improving his comfort and quality of life. Thanks to them, he was able to enjoy more time with us, and for that I will always be grateful. Unfortunately, we recently had to say goodbye to Barney as well. While no one can change when it is their time, I truly believe the team did everything possible to support him and us through that journey. They gave us precious extra time, and that means more than words can express. I only wish I had found them sooner so Pinks could have experienced the same level of care. What stands out most is the consistency across the entire team. From the warm welcomes at reception to the genuine care shown to every animal, no pet is ever treated as just another appointment. You can see that they truly care. I have since returned with a new addition to the family—a kitten—and once again, the experience has been exceptional. Every visit, from the friendly greetings to the little touches like treats and attention, reinforces that we made the right choice. I have only visited the Wood Street branch, but based on my experience, I would confidently recommend this practice to anyone. An outstanding team delivering compassionate, high-quality care when it matters most.

Wood Street Vet Hospital has provided consistently excellent care for my rabbits over many years. Yesterday, lovely vet Sandrine gave careful thought and time to help me work out a plan for my elderly rabbit. The reception staff have also been extremely helpful. Much appreciated.

I was extremely worried and upset about my cat’s illness, but Dr. Anastasia Walters gave me confidence and reassurance with her incredibly kind heart that my cat would be okay. She performed a very thorough examination, and throughout the entire check-up she gently stroked and comforted my cat with such warmth and patience. It is very clear how much she truly loves animals and how deeply she cares about them. She was professional, compassionate, and very friendly. I would give Dr. Anastasia Walters 5 stars without hesitation. However, I would give 4 stars to the clinic overall, as there is one major issue: before carrying out tests, the costs are not usually explained clearly, and you are suddenly surprised by the final amount. I would also like to sincerely thank the receptionist, Guy, who was genuinely kind, welcoming, and very helpful.
