From booking an appointment, whether urgent or routine, to check up or treatment procedures, to discharge advice or follow up plans, it is a very smooth journey at this clinic. I have nothing but gratitude for the care, compassion, and clinical expertise of the staff members at Medivet Cockfosters. I would definitely recommend this clinic to any pet owner.

I have 2 dogs. Sadly both unwell. These guys have been amazing with helping us get through this. Both dogs are on quite a bit of medication and the staff there go above and beyond to help in anyway they can. I cannot fault any of them. In all my sadness I go in there and we always have a laugh. They genuinely love all the animals that walk through the door. Love everyone in there 🩷💚💙

I regret having to write this review, as I don't like calling people out. However, certain behaviours at this practice need to be addressed especially when pet owners are placing their trust in them to care for animals they love. In my experience, the standard of care here is no longer adequate, which is why my pet is now registered with Creature Comforts, where he has been treated exceptionally well. I had several interactions with a female receptionist who appeared noticeably warmer and more accommodating towards certain customers, while being abrupt or dismissive with others. Consistent courtesy at the front desk is essential as it shapes the first impression of the practice. For instance, when a large Labrador nearly attacked my puppy, she laughed and cooed at the dog, saying, “oh you’re being silly again.” In contrast, when my very small puppy, who was in chronic pain due to a hip condition that had been misdiagnosed by this practice, reacted defensively, she repeatedly and coldly told us that his behaviour was unacceptable and that we urgently needed to see a behaviourist. Beyond this, my experiences with the vets suggested a pattern of avoiding clear diagnosis, which resulted in repeated consultations and ongoing medication costs. For example, when my pet had a UTI we were advised to use anti-inflammatories and return for another appointment, rather than being prescribed antibiotics that would have resolved the issue. Even more concerning was the time my pet’s severely deformed hip was dismissed as a knee problem. By comparison, the vet at Creature Comforts diagnosed the issue during our first visit simply by examining his hip. He was then immediately referred for an X-ray and advised that urgent surgery was required. I am aware that others have had positive experiences at this practice. However, in my case, the level of care was inconsistent, and I am not willing to take that risk when it comes to my pet’s wellbeing.

5⭐️ service and care. Our dog has been registered with this clinic since he was a puppy 4 years ago. Fantastic, friendly, and professional care each time, whether routine appointment or an emergency one. I happily recommend this clinic to anyone else who would like great care for their pets.
