Thank you so much for all your help last Tuesday when we brought our English bull dog to you for an emergency when he collapsed while we were staying in Finlake resort. Just to say he’s on the mend now but we’re keeping a close eye on him. All of the staff here are so friendly and kind. Bruce says thank you 🐾

25th April 2026 - updated review. Fantastic vets! If any one is looking for a caring 'family' run vets then you have found it here at Whiskers, on the Mole Valley site at Heathfield Newton Abbot. A superb professional vets - the practice is super clean, modern and bright. We cannot thank them enough for the fantastic care they have given our two rescue chihuahuas over the last 5 months, getting them fit and healthy from their previous life: from extensive dental work, a spay, successfully sorting out an eye ulcer and possible kennel cough, when we joined the practice the little darlings were throughly checked over on thier free initial visit : we have them inocculated - we joined a monthy plan for those which is cheaper over the year including the years worth of worming/lung worm tablets and flea treatments delivered through your door , veterinary nurse advice dental and nail checks , we also got a referral for hydrotherapy as well. Our little ones have come through it all being expertly cared for by the amazing staff from Whiskers, nothing is to much trouble for them and you never feel rushed, they take time to explain things to you. They have fabulous receptionists - I dont know how they do it but you never wait long for the phone to be answered, they always have a smile and a chat , you can visit just to socialise your dog or get your cat used to being there. You feel your pet is in safe hands here. Oh, and there is always plenty of parking. We feel Whiskers have Competitive pricing which has kept our heads above water financially speaking as we are not insured.

It is a delight to use a practice that is truly local and independent. Nothing is too much trouble. Their pricing is fair and transparent. The care and friendliness of all the staff is second to none. Appointments are always available and the consultations are two way, treatment plans are agreed between owner and professional, with the owner feeling invested in all decisions. There are lots of interesting and exciting things happening! Including carbon offsetting through tree planting! Seriously, what’s not to like? Even my dogs like going there! No panic, no dragging them through the door! Well done Whiskers you’re all stars!

Whiskers Vets have been absolutely fantastic. Booking appointments is made easily with a friendly and helpful team. The vets and nurses are all so kind with my nervous cat. He's treated with respect and his welfare needs and emotional needs are always taken into consideration. Treatment and aftercare is always carefully explained. Highly recommend these vets and we are so grateful to have them.
