Brought my kitten in today for her first vaccine and she was seen by Dan. He was so kind, gentle and handled my kitten with utmost care. Checked her thoroughly and took his time answering all of my questions. Thank you Dan 😊

I had an absolutely awful experience with Vets for Pets in Blackburn and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. We brought our cat in at 9 a.m. for urgent treatment and they initially agreed to put him on a drip and administer Carbodote to clear out toxins. However, not long after, they refused to give him the Carbodote because he was frightened and defensive—something any cat might be in a strange environment. They wouldn’t let me administer it myself and left him without this crucial part of the treatment. We ended up transferring him to the out-of-hours clinic on Longsight Road for overnight care. The difference was night and day: they allowed us to be present, he was calm, and they administered the Carbodote easily. He didn’t lash out, didn’t hurt anyone, and accepted the treatment well when handled properly. To make matters worse, when we went to collect him from Vets for Pets, the reception staff made unnecessary and unprofessional comments, calling him the “most vicious cat they’d ever come across” and comparing him unfavourably to feral cats. They even mentioned having to get the first aid kit out for nurses who were scratched, which was both uncalled for and upsetting to hear. Instead of showing understanding or compassion, they chose to make us feel worse. When we called for updates during the day, we also found the staff to be rude, sarcastic, and patronising. Their attitude made an already stressful situation even more difficult, and it was clear they had no interest in supporting us as worried pet owners. It’s clear that this is how it should have been handled in the first place and that Vets for Pets’ refusal to administer the Carbodote was not only negligent but completely unnecessary. We’ve now registered him at the new clinic, where he is finally receiving proper care. In short, I found Vets for Pets Blackburn to be unprofessional, dismissive, and lacking in compassion. I’ll be filing a formal complaint and strongly advise other pet owners to stay away.

I just wanted to share a review for the lovely team at vets for pets Blackburn. All the staff I’ve met have over the past couple of years have been so caring, professional and very understanding! My dog mainly sees Brian who I just cannot fault. My dog is unbelievably reactive and absolutely hates a trip to the vets. We all work together to allow my dog to get the treatment he needs (which isn’t easy) so thank you! I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment, the what’s app group is amazing for booking in appointments, ordering medication or just asking for advice which I have needed to do in the past. This is the only practice I would ever recommend!! So again thank you! Jess & famous Milky x

Highly recommend Vets4Pets - after moving to the area and my dog Bud presenting with an issue, I arrived in store registered him and even managed to get him seen the very same day! 2 days later he was in for surgery which was successful and buds recovered very well. The WhatsApp service they provided is excellent and even the customer service from the ladies on the front desk is fab. The vets who seen bud and did the surgery was both very informative and kept us updated why he was in their hands 🙂 reasonably priced too! I would highly recommend registering your pet here!

Can't fault this vets , so lovely all the staff and the vet is amazing I used to be at another vets but when I went for second opinion I felt he had my baby's best interest at heart rather than cash . Also the app is great and also they inform you when you baby is due work and flea etc .
