While once we would have recommended, now I would definitely avoid. This has been our vet for over 25 years. Over the past few years the service has deteriorated and it now feels more like a money making organisation than a place who actually care about our pets. When our dog was in the final days of her life, the practice showed no concern or sympathy despite the many years of loyal custom. We ended up having to contact a specialist company who were compassionate and caring when they came to put her down. More recently, our treatment should have been covered by the health club, which I had written to confirm in advance. I was called informing me that there would be a bill of over £900. We are really disappointed with the service and will be seeking a new practice for our pets.

    • We've been using them for many years but they have gone downhill. The prices are now sky high and you have to be very careful for hidden charges.

We' were able to book an appointment online. We received a text message 30 minutes before outlr appointment to say they weren't taking new customers. Very poor service after having been able to book online 5 days prior and has left us very inconvenienced

Booked an appointment yesterday after a long break from this vet—my dog hasn’t been back in a while due to severe anxiety, made worse after she was attacked by another dog. When I made the appointment, I specifically asked if we could be seen in the car because of how bad it gets for her. They said that was fine. Spoiler: it wasn’t. I arrive today—dog literally shaking, foaming at the mouth, clearly panicking—and I have to carry her inside, where the receptionist starts pelting me with questions like I hadn’t just explained (again) that we were meant to be seen in the car. I must’ve repeated myself three times. I just wanted to see if they could prescribe something to help with her anxiety, since our usual mobile vet is away. But instead, I’m told I’ve been deactivated from the system because she hasn’t been seen in a while. First I’m hearing of it. Apparently, someone was supposed to call and cancel the appointment—but when I asked why they didn’t, I was told, “we were busy.” Amazing. Too busy to make a phone call, but not too busy to waste my entire day and completely freak out my dog for absolutely no reason. And the receptionist? Giving me the full up-and-down like I’d walked in naked holding a machete. Maybe it was the tattoos? Which is ironic, considering the ink on my arm probably cost more than she pulls in a year. Bit bold from someone who looks like a chihuahua that just discovered passive aggression. Eventually, the vet did come out to the car—but by then my dog was already a wreck—and just to round things off, the vet herself was rude too. Not in a “short on time” kind of way, but in a “deeply unimpressed to be doing her job” kind of way. Avoid at all costs 👍🏽
