Our cat Stormy (sometimes known as KitKat) has recently moved to this vet because our old vet which was located within a big brand pet store, were more interested in sales than in care. Having moved him here they have not tried to pressure us into buying anything and surprisingly we buy more here than at our previous place!! Our cat loves the raw food diet and the vet lets him wonder around in the room to get used to it when we're there before getting started with the actual visit. I see the way they treat the dogs that come in (haven't seen other cats yet so can't comment on that) and the receptionist remember the dogs and often give little treats or cuddles. Amazing service and yes slightly more expensive but well worth it. Off there again today for his vaccinations.
Read on Google →We visited this week for our Frenchie Walter to have his annual vaccinations. He gets very anxious so Chelsea the vet took her time, allowing him to sniff around and chatting to keep him calm before giving his injection. This was very much appreciated by myself. Hopefully, if/when we attend the vet's again, Chelsea will be available to look after us.
Read on Google →We recently lost our beautiful Springer spaniel and I can't praise Adele and her team enough. In the few weeks before, I often needed my girl to be seen at short notice and/or I needed advice and we were always accomodated. I only transferred to this vet last year and the difference in care and compassion was immense. I would absolutely recommend them and will not forget their care and concern given to us.
Read on Google →I can't recommend The Natural Vet highly enough. They are excellent at taking an individual pet's needs into account, for example I've noticed they'll coordinate whoever is in the waiting room so that a reactive dog can have it's stress mitigated. I was thoroughly impressed by this as it really speaks to their desire to ensure every patient receives the best possible care. I have mainly been seen by Dr. Caitlin, occasionally by Dr. Clara and by Dr. Adele. They have all made me feel like they sincerely care about my dog as an individual and have been a source of invaluable support while we work through his various issues. Something I find invaluable is that where I have questions as his owner about his treatment, even outwith an appointment time, they always take the time to talk with me and I've never felt like a burden for it. Quite the opposite; they truly want owners to be informed and happy. The reception team are highly professional, personable and well trained in working with various clients and their different needs. In the past we had a mix up with our medication collection time which meant we missed a training session with our behaviourist. When I informed them of this, they implemented a system that ensured it wouldn't happen again. In almost a year we have yet to have an issue. Actually, if anything I'm the one who's been having trouble collecting and they go above and beyond to help me! I am mentioning the above because I think it's an immense credit to the practice that they listen to concerns from owners. Our situation was arguably quite niche (live far from the practice and without a car, so we can't pop back easily) but they still went out of their way to ensure that one individual client would have an easier time in the future. This ties back to what I said about The Natural Vet taking into account the needs of each individual pet. I'll add that the staff in the on-site shop are also wonderful. My dog is quite nervous at the vet (due to no fault of the staff - I need to get him in for more socialisation visits to build his confidence after a scare) but afterwards he pulls like a train to get round the corner to the shop, where he knows his "friends" will be waiting with treats! They have really taken an interest in helping to build his confidence with strangers and I'm so thankful to them for it. I could go on and on but would be here all day. Highly recommend this clinic, who somehow manage to remain consistently kind, empathetic and courteous despite working in what is arguably one of the most demanding professions and contexts.
Read on Google →The first time here and the staff were brilliant. Had to take our rr Odi due to ongoing bladder stones. They thoroughly examined him, explained everything, and answered any questions I had. Went home with medication for him, and so far, all seems good. I'm so glad I have made the switch to this practice.
