Overpriced and willing to take the most expensive and drastic action before trying anything else, for example, telling me my Cat's eye will need to be removed when he was scratched by another cat. I got a second opinion and he was prescribed an antibiotics which cleared up the infection in his eye. Another example is amputating the fractured leg of a stray kitten we found, we took her somewhere else and they gave her painkillers and monitored for improvements before considering amputation, the kittens leg healed fine. In short, the avenue seem to be happy mutilating your pet if it means they get more money rather than trying less drastic measures first
Read on Google →My dog has been registered here since being a puppy and he is now 7 years old. I got the insurance through animal friends as recommended by this practice but it actually turns out that you have to pay out first to the vet and then they tell you to claim of insurers. They then said it isnt guaranteed what is insured until they see and diagnosed the dog. I explained I do not understand but the woman on the phone was just really unhelpful. Not once did she even ask what was wrong with the dog to even offer some free advice or tell me if it aounded like an emergency or not. I was then told by them to use the PDSA if I cant afford it but why should I have to use an animal charity when I have been paying insurance for years. They honestly was not helpful what so ever. AVOID
Read on Google →If at all possible I would strongly advise do not take your animals here Took my very nervous cat in as I was previously told by the senior vet she had dental issues for the vet to tell me she needed 9 if not all of her teeth removing (or in the future she would be in so much pain she would stop eating all together and starve to death) Took her in to be phoned a few hours later by the vet to say I needed to pick my cat up asap as she was extremely nervous and briefly told she had ZERO teeth removed but I could find out when I picked her up.. I also asked if I could make the payment over the phone to avoid any prolonged time which was a no. I went to collect and instead of being taken into a room she was brought out shaking in the main reception and left dumped on a chair alone while dogs barked around her by a receptionist saying she had "no idea of the price at the top of her head" which resulted in 15 minutes of walking back and forth to my very anxious cat waiting while the vet with at least 5 members of staff all saying different figures and asking "oh how much should we charge for this?" To then be told that it's cause they are very short staffed. So I was left with zero aftercare advice, if I need to take her back for a checkup, if the issue will reoccurr in the future or if / when to feed and no pain medication. So I will now have to endure another visit at a hopefully more competent vets for a second opinion. So so disappointing. I would strongly advise anyone to find a more caring, professional vets if possible.
Read on Google →Our beautiful 10 year old german shepherd passed away Monday night. She had been under the care of here since being a puppy. In 2018 we found out she had a condition that would be life long. We were supported the whole way through this. She was an anxious dog that had nervous aggression and the vets were always accommodating, they went out of their way to make sure we could do what was best for our dog. Special mention to Dermot for all his help over the years and to Chelsea who was involved in the last months of tess’s life. You treated her with such compassion and always put her well being first. We received a card this afternoon from Chelsea and the team who sent their condolences. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. This is really hard for us. She meant everything to us but I can say I know she got the best care and her well being was always top priority. Love Becky and lee faulkner

So after your response 12 months ago I have phoned again waited 30 minutes in your queue and give up. So try again after 4pm. Currently waiting in queue again another 31 mins how long do I wait “ your currently next in queue “. Obviously, no change to your service. I give up. Don’t use these vets if you want to get your dog seen
