A wonderful service from an excellent, caring team. Nothing is too much trouble for Barbara H, Patrick and colleagues. All our cats have had the very best care. Everyone is friendly, helpful and professional - reception staff, nurses, vets. Their love for animals shines through. Thank you all. Peter and Georgina 🌈

Took my cat here for neutering 6 year ago for told he had a faint heart murmur due to stress of the op. Fast forward to 6 year and he has just passed away from chronic heart failure due to the murmur progressing. If 6 year ago we got told about the severity of the murmur we could have took preventative action but sadly vets for pet assured us it was nothing and now we have sadly lost him. Be careful when being pets here as they have a tendency for underplaying serious illnesses.

I have just recently had to have my beautiful dog put to sleep as nothing could be done for him at vets for pets! It is one of the most horrific things that you have to go through as a pet owner when they are part of your family as any pet owner will tell you! My experience was made worse by the vet although very professional there was no warmth there no comforting words, no special room where you can sit with your pet just a cold consultation room! Having a price list shoved in front of you of cremation accessories while your dog is still alive looking at you was all to upsetting and cold! After she had gone she sent a receptionist in with the card machine who was a lovely lady and showed compassion which the vet didn’t! She never came back again in the room ! A nurse who was lovely came in before we left and told me she would look after him! I suppose it’s who you get in that awful situation and in that moment I wanted a vet with comforting words and empathy and I feel I didn’t get that! I had an elderly dog put to sleep at animal trust in failsworth a couple of years ago the experience was totally different! A lovely rainbow room with chairs so you can sit there with your pet! The vet was fantastic warm comforting words and held my hand as I was inconsolable at that terrible time ! I don’t think after that experience I could have a dog put to sleep there again in that cold consultation room where you can’t even sit down and grieve your pet🥲

I’ve been with vets for pets Oldham a year and today I changed vets. I can’t fault the lady on reception she was lovely, but the vet was what made me leave. A lady called Barbara the vet was not from the UK, I am only stating that as there are two vets with the same name at this practice. Her attitude was not what i expect from a vet, she was not friendly or caring all she wanted to do was sell sell sell. Offering me things that I do not need, but clearly she’s trying to get revenue. She moand because my dog licked her. I’ve never had this from a vet. I will not be returning she made me feel very uncomfortable.
