I wanted to leave an outstanding review for this veterinary practice and the exceptional team working here. A special thank you to Ana, who cared for my dog after her cataract operation. She is highly experienced, incredibly professional, and her thorough, compassionate approach has made a huge difference to her recovery. Because of the excellent ophthalmology care provided here — which wasn’t available where we live — I have now registered both of my dogs with this practice and travel more than 20 miles whenever needed. It is absolutely worth the journey. A massive thank you to Ana for her continued support, and also to the dental team, who were able to provide same‑day dental treatment for my other dog without any delay when the practice could accommodate it. All staff members are knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely committed to providing the best care. The reception team is consistently helpful and accommodating when booking appointments, making every visit smooth and stress‑free. I am extremely grateful for everything this practice has done for my dogs and would highly recommend them.

We were referred to Tari Vets as our Schnoodle, Freddie, needed to have cataract surgery. What a positive experience! Freddie came through the procedure with the minimum of stress and coped with his examinations calmly, due to Anna’s patience and careful handling. We received some very good advice about coping with his diabetes - sadly lacking at our regular vets - and Freddie is in line for full recovery. It was reassuring to know that the treatment, plus follow up checks, all came under the same price. Thank you, everyone at Tari Vets. 🏆❤️

Outstanding opthamologist for lense luxation and other eye issues If your dog needs highly specialist eye care, save yourself time and money and go straight to Anna at Tari Vets, Shenfield. Other options in Essex simply do not compare at all. After endless vet visits and conflicting advice from a previous ophthalmologist regarding my dog's luxated lens, I turned to Anna for a second opinion. As one of the very few ophthalmologists in Essex qualified to perform lens luxation surgery, her expertise was clear. She was the only specialist who understood the condition perfectly, explaining that Optimmune failed because the issue was genetic, not autoimmune. It was a massive relief to know I was doing everything right. When my dog ultimately needed a double enucleation, Anna showed me immense compassion. The surgical care at Tari Vets was unparalleled. Anna’s skills completely transformed my dog’s life; she is now entirely pain-free and blissfully happy. Furthermore, despite her busy schedule, Anna went out of her way to adjust the medical wording for my insurance company so my claim was approved. I am eternally grateful. Trust me, look no further. You won’t get a better ophthalmologist and this is from someone who does understand science and who has extremely high standards. Anna is amazing!

After a very distressing experience with Medivet, we are beyond grateful for Tari Vets. We had been with Medivet since our cats were kittens so when we had a real emergency and our cat’s claw was hanging off and bleeding heavily we naturally went to them. We were charged £100 for a consultation and pain relief then quoted £802 for the procedure. This did not include bandages or antibiotics which was extremely concerning and upsetting during an already stressful situation. We decided to seek a second opinion and contacted Tari Vets even though we live an hour away. They saw us immediately and we made the trek. It was absolutely worth it. The same procedure including a consultation, bandaging, antibiotics, pain relief to take home, and a cat cone cost £300 in total. He may now need an X-Ray too but, even with the cost of that included… it still doesn’t equal to that ridiculous sum of £802. Everything was clearly explained and we felt reassured and genuinely cared for. The team at Tari Vets were calm, compassionate and transparent. During what felt like a crisis for us they treated both our cat and us with kindness and professionalism. We will happily travel the hour again. Highly recommend.
