Yesterday was an extremely stressful experience at this practice when we brought our dog in with a serious tail injury that required treatment. While we appreciate that the clinical care was ultimately provided and our dog is now home recovering, the way we were spoken to during the process was very upsetting and lacked compassion. From the moment we arrived, the situation was presented as if our dog was likely to die within hours if surgery to dock his tail was not carried out immediately. An insurance claim was submitted and were waiting for pre-authorisation, however we were repeatedly told it was unlikely to be approved and that we would need to pay a large amount upfront. We spent the entire day desperately trying to find ways to raise the money, as we were told that if we could not provide the funds by a certain time our dog would be put to sleep. Being given that kind of ultimatum when you are already frightened for your pet is incredibly distressing. Thankfully our insurance did approve the claim and treatment was able to go ahead, and we are grateful that our dog is now recovering at home. However, the pressure placed on us while we were trying to resolve the insurance situation felt unnecessary and lacked the empathy that pet owners hope to receive in emergency situations. When people bring their animals to a vet they are often scared and vulnerable. Clear communication and compassion would make a huge difference to the experience. I would like to share my appreciation to Joshua and the reception staff, they were all very helpful and understanding to our situation.
Read on Google →We ve been on the 21.01 to have the vaccine and microchip done for our kittens, and i m honestly glad we did it there and not in our town, the vet- doctor ( i don t remember his name but had more of a shaved hairstyle - not fully ) he was just great, explained everything to us, extremely knowledgeable, i asked some extra questions and he gave an accurate answer straight away, did his job perfectly from the beginning to the end, checked everything and been extremely patient(we also had our kids with us and he did not looked disturbed at all even tho they were just curious and talking lots, there was no waiting time, they respected the time of the appointment. The way that he did his job was extremely professional and with care. Extremely well done to him ! Definitely for any issues in the future we will drive there to see him - is like an hr drive but worth it ! Thank you !!
Read on Google →Excellent Vets, who greatly care for your pets and tend to there every need, had my kitten ( Merlin ) castrated , service on the day was great , advice and documents with after care, were excellent. They also offer a what’s app service for support if required , example day 8 , instead of popping down with Merlin to confirm whether or not I can take the cone off, I sent a picture via the what’s app channel and the vet got back to me with confirmation, saving me a journey in person! Very happy with Vets for Pets Sears Retail park.
Read on Google →Amelia was extremely kind and professional when I had to sadly have my cat Sid put to sleep today. I would highly recommend them, as they truly care for animals & their humans.
Read on Google →Absolutely beautiful service from these amazing people. My cat was bought her by a lovely woman after being hit by a car, sadly my cat didn't make it. The staff were all very compassionate and the after service for cremation was so amazing. I am still to receive the ashes but I know it will all be perfect. Thankyou ♡ Rip Koa ♡♡
