1st visit with my old dogs. Very impressed with the attention to detail and thoroughness of the check up completed. Friendly staff and efficient service. Sadly, the business practice doesn't match up with the excellent staff. Over- inflated pricing and excessive mark-ups on medication from thier corporate business owners.

We were staying near Chagford for a few days last week with our 2 cavalier kc spaniels - one aged 9 and the other a pup at 11 months. This was the first little holiday from home with our little pup who has had such a struggle in his short life, having being diagnosed with a brutal auto immune condition when he was only 11 weeks old . We are currently tapering down his medication and relapse is always a risk . On the Friday morning I noticed that our pup had a gloopy eye. I was frozen with fear that this was the start of a relapse - to say I panicked was probably an understatement! I dropped into Okeford vets on our morning walk into chagford & spoke to a lovely helpful & understanding receptionist . By 10:45 the same morning, our records had been sent over from home & we were seen by your vet, Claudia . She was so calm and reassuring and took her time examining Albie very carefully & thoroughly and confirming we were dealing with mild conjunctivitis. … panic over!! This cleared up super quickly & we were able to enjoy our little break.- little Albie had an absolute blast on his first little holiday . Thank you to the excellent team at Chagford that looked after us all so well :)

Actually I no longer own any pets. I called in to look at the new site, I was impressed by the updated facilities. Good to talk to the enthusiastic staff members too, almost felt like getting a dog again!
