Fabulous personal service from this privately owned vets. The reception staff are lovely, patient, and helpful. The vets are extremely helpful and understanding. We've only been with them a year and it was a difficult one but they couldn't have been any kinder or understanding. Highly recommend you contact them, go in have a chat, you won't be disappointed.
Read on Google →Outstanding veterinary practice in every way. Our younger GSP was injured while we were staying in the area, the registration process was straightforward, staff were polite, efficient and booked us in quickly. Above all our special thanks to Emily who sorted Dart's injuries and was absolutely first rate. Our boy has now made a full recovery ..... thank you.

Read on Google →I’ve been meaning to post a review for a while now. I use a different vets who are ‘doorstep’ vets and do my boys check ups/jabs etc at my home. I changed from the normal vets because of how anxious it made him. My vets don’t have bricks and mortar buildings so when my dog had to go for teeth removal they referred me here. I had some quotes from other vets which were literally more than double what I paid here and I almost felt like I was just taking the cheap option but my vets assured me Coquet were very highly rated and they always got great feedback on their referrals. I travelled and stayed in Amble the day before the op as I don’t live local and the more I thought about him having to get his bloods done pre op, the more I worried about how that was actually going to physically happen because he gets so upset. Coquet arranged a same day prescription of various sedatives to pick up and give him on the morning of. Fast forward through the morning and he was out of it, managed to get him into the car (eventually!) and got him into the vets. They came out for him pretty much straight away. We went in and saw Emily, i was completely panicking by this point and asking a load of stupid questions I’d come across on the internet. Emily was very calm and told me she knew what she was doing and that complications with anaesthesia are actually uncommon despite my brain telling me my dog was about to die. She was fantastic with my dog and had me put him in a corner so she could inject to sedate him. I was expecting howls and and all sorts of- there were none. He eventually lay down whilst I with him and they then came outand said I could leave and they’d do the bloods and his work. I was a wreck when I left fully believing that was the last time I’d see my dog. Within an hour and a half/two hours I had a text saying they’d tried ringing me and doggo was fine and in recovery. I was gobsmacked and thought I’d be hearing about the bloods first but there were obviously no issues so it just went ahead. All this to say, I got very over anxious for no reason - they are very much seasoned vets and that translates through to our pets. My dog has never been happier since having his teeth removed - no healing issues, got a course of pain med and antibiotics and I’ve got him on new recommended food an I highly recommend this vets, they do actually give a damn and for nervous folk - your nerves will be settled when you meet Emily and see how good she is with your doggo. Thank you
