  Reception staff lovely, vet unfriendly, room smelt terrible-as if someone had eaten a cheese and onion pasty before I arrived. I did mention this, vet was not happy, but neither was I. Not a pleasant smell!

  The best vets in Newark. They are so caring and are real animal lovers. I brought my cat, Arthur after a bad experience with another vet and was recommended Vets for Pets by my Aunt. We have been seeing Joanna throughout Arthur's care and it has been second to none. Even last night when we had to say our goodbyes to Arthur, she was patient ans gave me as much time as I needed. All the staff have been wonderful too and honestly I couldn't recommend them enough. When my husband and I get a new fur baby in the future, we will definitely be coming back.   Unprofessional, every time you have to wait 50–60 minutes between appointments! My cat has also become restless; it doesn’t like staying too long in that cage-like box. It’s not the first time; this happens every single time I go. Today I went with my 7-month-old baby boy, and we waited 50 minutes until even he lost his patience!! There was no one there, they were simply chatting among themselves! After 20 minutes, I asked how much longer it would take. One of the receptionists replied, “you’ll be seen soon”… what soon? Another 30 minutes passed… unacceptable! As of today, they’ve lost another client,and probably not the last! I do not recommend it to anyone! Ps : I want to say that there was no patient inside at that moment! When it’s busy, I know how to wait, but don’t make an appointment if you don’t respect the schedule!

  The receptionist was incredibly rude, when I told him that the reason we didn’t get to respond to a message about flea treatment ( nothing life or death ) I apologised for the delay in response and said we had a loss in the family and some on going health issues he responded that “ that he didn’t care and it’s not their problem “. I was utterly shocked by this response. I understand it was our fault in a delay in responding but it wasn’t a major treatment issue just monthly de flea treatment and the response was so unsympathetic and nasty. We’re now moving vets as this is the second time the same male receptionist has been rude to us.

  I’ve never been to a corporate vet clinic before and wasn’t sure what to expect. Recently moved to the area and was sad to leave my previous vet. I was really impressed though, definitely had a 5-star experience!! Reception team was very helpful over the phone answering questions ahead of the appointment and getting us registered. The rates are really reasonable, IMO, and the clinic rooms are very clean and modern. The vet I saw was knowledgeable and easy to converse with. She was thorough and listened to our history and answered every question. I didn’t feel rushed or patronized. It was great! Came in for a routine exam on a senior canine to primarily renew arthritis meds and establish a patient file. Paid about £22 for a paper prescription for a 6 month script. Well worth it. The exam itself was £40. The company has a decent pet plan that adds pretty good value back for the patient. It’s also handy that I can do my pet food errands afterwards as my senior needs specialty food. Not sure how this place might be if facing challenging differentials or complex pathologies, but for routine care and maintenance definitely a great choice. Good job, vets for pets team!
