About this practice

Nicholson Veterinary Centre in Newark

Nicholson Veterinary Centre is an independent small animal practice in Newark, founded by Dr Conor Nicholson BVetMed MRCVS and opened in 2026. We care for dogs, cats and other small pets across Newark, Sherwood and the wider Nottinghamshire area. As a vet-led practice, we make our own clinical decisions and take the time to get things right. Where we can, your pet will see the same vet each visit, so the people looking after them know their history. We run our own out-of-hours emergency service rather than referring calls elsewhere. Call our main number and press 1 to reach the on-call vet directly. Our Lifetime Care Plan spreads the cost of your pet's routine care into a simple monthly payment, and our fees are set transparently. In-house CT scanning lets us investigate more complex cases without sending you further afield.

I stumbled across this practice whilst frantically searching for an emergency vet, as my usual place has sadly sold out to a chain emergency vet. Connor got me in very quickly, and saw us within 15 minutes of the call. Despite the circumstances Connor and his practice was an absolutely breath of fresh air. My dog was absolutely fine and I ended up signing the dogs up, with no hesitation.
