For out-of-hours emergencies, clients are directed to Medivet 24 Hour Dorchester. Unused medications can be returned for safe disposal.

  Sick Spaniel. Booked at short notice and given an appointment within 1 hour and a half. Excellent analysis, given options and approximate costs. very caring vet and staff. Returned later following developments and rapidly booked into vet hospital. all very caring and efficient.

  I was visiting the area at the beginning of July when my senior Labrador needed to see a vet, I tried two other practices who couldn’t help and was told to try the practice at Wool. I was able to see a vet later that morning who was brilliant, I believe her name was Holly, very professional and caring and took great care to explain every thing to me. Sadly I decided that my lovely Freddie had come to the end of his time here with me, he was thirteen years old with lots of health issues but such a gentle soul. All of the staff that I met that day were very warm and caring, I thought the candle at reception was a lovely idea but brought me to tears when I left as it had been lit for Freddie. I wish I lived closer so that I could use the practice, I have mentioned the practice to a number of people who like me are on holiday and may need to find a vet in an area they don’t know. Thank you Holly and the team for your kindness and for looking after Freddie.

  The whole team at Medivet Wool is absolutely outstanding. The care shown to our 2 much loved Guinea pigs has been first class. But also the care, kindness and compassion to my daughter and I has made a very difficult few months so much more bearable. I cannot recommend the practice more highly. They will take wonderful care of your pet and you.

  We always receive an excellent service. It's a calm environment for our pets including the cat only area. We have 3 dogs and a cat and they're all on the monthly scheme which helps us spread the costs - always a help with the finances. All the staff are so welcoming, caring and professional. They go above and beyond to provide a superb service.
