Piddle Valley Vets in Dorchester

Piddle Valley Vets is an independent veterinary surgery located in the picturesque village of Puddletown, Dorset, alongside the River Piddle. Established in 2011, the practice offers comprehensive health and welfare services for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and exotic species. The facility, housed in a refurbished old GP Surgery, is equipped with modern technology to provide a comfortable and clean clinical environment for its patients. The practice prides itself on maintaining a caring, compassionate, and open environment, while also utilising high-quality and current clinical techniques. The team is dedicated to offering unparalleled experience and expertise, ensuring the best possible care for pets. The lead vet, David Holah, holds an RCVS certificate in zoological medicine, highlighting their capability to treat a diverse range of animals. Absolutely disgusting. "Because your dog is a rescue dog, we won't blah blah blah, it is our policy, your dog could contaminate humans." "So what you are saying is, because my dog is a rescue dog you won't administer any care at all for him?" "Yes that's right." Unbelievable.

On holiday in the area and my dog got an upset stomach from sea water! Phoned Piddle Valley vets and Lilly couldn’t have been more helpful. She advised me on the probiotics they stocked and where I could get the gastrointestinal food I had requested. Within 15mins I had been to the surgery and served. Great service and extra 5* for Lilly! Thank you

Yesterday, the vet and nurse came to our house (just at the time arranged) to euthanize our dear dog, Mia. They were wonderful, kind, caring and professional. They allowed us as much time as we needed to say goodbye and we want to say a huge 'thank you'. A and M Johnson.

Really pleased with Frieda and I's experience here. Vet was amazing. Loved the conversation and mass of information he clearly had to give about how best to help my nans tortoise. Very calm environment for people and pets - having people waiting outside the building was preferable. Parking was easy and the place was quite easy to find too
