Wonderful care for my cat Sari, who came in as an emergency unable to urinate. Dr Kate was brilliant during the initial emergency — kind, thorough and reassuring, even updating me through the night. Dr Justin carried out his surgery superbly, and Sari is now recovering well at home. The reception team were lovely throughout too — patient, helpful and clearly caring. Thank you all so much!

We brought our 15-year-old Chihuahua, Chica, to the clinic and we were so impressed with the care she received. Chica is usually very anxious at vet appointments, but Rita and her team made her feel calm and relaxed throughout the visit. They were able to carry out everything that was needed with such kindness and professionalism. We’re very grateful and really pleased with the experience. Lovely clinic and genuinely kind staff. Thank you so much! 🙏

I took my dog to this vet thinking he would be treated with respect. They basically put the feeding tube into my dogs lung . They knew this . The tube should have been removed immediately. This would have given my dog a higher survival rate . Instead they chose to leave it in my dogs lung for at least 6 hrs . They had him transferred to a more specialist hospital. Whilst this was being arranged my dog last hours was painful and inhumane. He was fighting for everything last breath he had . Whilst his lungs was being torn up inside. My advice avoid this place at all cost . It seems a big driving factor is money . Not the life of your pet . They don’t only kill animals they don’t mind torturing them in the process . Needs shutting down

We have used VVM for the last 15 years. The reception team are lovely and we have had some fantastic vets over the last 15 years. However, we have recently been disappointed by the attitude we have faced with regards to the exorbitant costs to treat our geriatric cat for a tooth extraction and wider services. I appreciate that this is part of a wider debate about vet costs, however, it does feel that VVM are focussed principally on their bottom line. We were quoted over 1300 up to 1500 for a tooth extraction (not covered by our insurance). When looking at the itemised quote, it s hard to believe that all of what is quoted commands the price we were quoted. An example would be that my car at the time had fur mats on a section of her stomach. They said they could shave this as part of the op as she would be anethetised anyway. They itemised this as 120 pounds. When I challenged this I was told that was the price. Clearly shaving a section of my already anethetised cat would take a matter of seconds. Hard to justify 120 pounds. I also object to the lack of transparency regarding treatment options and costs: what is REALLY necessary and what are costs which could be avoided? This is not a debate which I felt the vet would engage with in our last appointment. It doesn't feel so good to feel that the primary focus is the bottom line, so am going to investigate elsewhere where my research tells me that the service is just as good but the base prices are more affordable.

  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Life-Saving Team I can’t thank The Village Vet in Milton, Cambridge enough — they quite literally saved our cat Luna’s life after a devastating accident caused her diaphragm to rupture. For almost four days, they worked tirelessly, showing such incredible care, compassion, and pure skill throughout the entire ordeal. A very special mention goes to Elden, the surgeon who performed the operation that gave Luna a second chance at life. His expertise, along with the dedication of the entire team, was nothing short of amazing. It was an emotional few days filled with tears, anxiety, and uncertainty, but the staff were incredible — they kept us informed every step of the way, showing genuine kindness and understanding not only toward Luna, but toward us as well. No words could ever truly express our gratitude. They don’t just treat animals — they truly care about them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing our Luna back to us. ❤️🐾
