We brought our cat into surgery on Saturday morning as an emergency booking. Phoned in at 8am, they got us in at 8,40. Vet was excellent, gave Sansa a thorough check over, thankfully nothing broken but she had a temperature of 40. Vet immediately gave her, painkillers, rehydration and antibiotics. Sansa came home, laid on sofa for 12 hours, woke up next day a completely different cat. Eating, climbing and back to normal. I dread to think what would have happened if the vet hadnt been so diligent, careful and caring. Brilliant vets, thoroughly recommend.
Read on Google →I rarely write a review But having had my old English sheep dog have a bit of a dodgy year of ill health My dogs vet Ciara is so knowledgeable, she's saved my dog's life and (very rare)listens to me as a owner what my thoughts and concerns are every time - I have not had this experience with many vets these days. she truly listens and makes well round decisions on where to go next after gathering information , she takes all the time for your animal friends and all the time for you as a owner. She doesn't start running random tests and gallivanting off like so many vets nowadays do (£) I find her old school in all the best ways and modern in knowledge at the same time. Shes such a well rounded vet and just a very kind human which when handing your pride and joy over to a professional I think everyone can agree kindness and care would be your biggest ask. Ciara is full of this in abundance. I hear so many people struggle with what vet practices to use and trust these days I feel very lucky that I know the animals are truly at the heart of my vet!

Read on Google →This practice caused one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. My dog was given Librella after I was assured repeatedly that there were no side effects and that it was completely safe. I now know this was not accurate, and I only discovered the risks far too late. From my experience, Librella was pushed onto her even when I has stressed that due to her other condition that I was worried about side effects, I was told by Hannah it was a safe treatment, this is not what the company of the drug state so without giving me the full information needed to make an informed decision. After the injection, my girl declined severely within 24 hours, she collapsed, couldn’t walk, was panting heavily, and developed a fever. When I raised concerns that this might be a reaction to Librella, I was completely dismissed. I had already spent thousands trying to get to the bottom of it and with misinformation on her lesihmainia condition and the reaction librella caused made it rife, she then had liver failure which many other reports of dogs & cats getting this after having librella. After thousands on tests and a awful specialist they advised me to see at £700. I was simply told to put her to sleep. No one acknowledged my concerns, and no one seemed willing to explore the possibility that the injection contributed to her rapid decline. What hurt even more was the complete lack of empathy I felt. While I was devastated in the room with my girl, I could hear staff laughing and joking right outside. They could see through the glass what was happening and no care whatsoever. It made an unbearable moment so much worse. I have since learned of other dogs who have had similar reactions, yet I saw no willingness from this practice to report potential adverse effects. When I mentioned information released by the FDA about Librela, it was denied instantly. I was told again and again there were “no side effects” something my experience clearly contradicts and many others who have shared a similar experience of their beloved companion. My dog suffered terribly, and in my opinion, this injection shortened her life. I feel deeply let down by Hannah, the owner, and by the overall attitude of the team throughout the entire ordeal. I am sharing my experience so other animal care givers can be aware, ask questions, research thoroughly, and not blindly trust what they are told by any vet. Especially here where every other person was there for librella it was untrue. At £80 a shot you know why…. Once this injection is given, you cannot undo it and in my sweet girls case, the consequences were devastating. This was, in my personal experience, an awful practice. They are throwing this drug at everyone as big pharma push these onto the practices it is a deadly drug and it no way in hell worth the risk. Bonny suffered terribly and her life was cut so short because of this.
