I want to say a big thank you to Bell Equine! I had an emergency situation my horse had gone through the hedge in her field and was stuck down a ditch, unable to move . I phoned Bell Equine the reception was very quick to reassure me a vet was on her way ! Amy arrived within 30mins she accessed the situation and kent fire and rescue was called She kept my mare calm and comfortable in the ditch for 4 hours, monitoring her with painkillers and sedation Kent fire and rescue done a great job and eventually managed to pull my mare out of the ditch, and amazingly my mare was unharmed!! A big thank you to you AMY you was amazing !!!!

My boy had a recent stay at bell equine to have some bone scans done. The staff were so lovely and rang me every day to let me know how he was doing. He can be an anxious boy and he’s been through a lot so I was worried this would be a bad experience for him, but the staff said he was calm there and I think that’s testament to the lovely atmosphere they create on the yard. One particular vet nurse (sorry that I can’t remember your name) told me she’d been having cuddles with him before his procedure and this was so good to hear that he really was getting so much time and attention from the staff. They must be so busy but whenever I got a phone call it never felt rushed, I always felt reassured and it was clear that the staff have genuine love and compassion for their patients. I received the results of the bone scan incredibly quickly and the communication the entire time he was there was brilliant. We even got help from the vet as we left when he decided he didn’t fancy getting on the trailer to come home! Thanks so much to everyone at bell equine, I was so anxious about him going in but the friendliness and communication from the staff really put me at ease. From the minute I dropped him off I could tell he was in very good hands. If I ever need him referred for anything else I’ll be sure to go with bell again after this experience. The receptionists are also lovely and explained everything so well including how to do the insurance claim form etc as I’ve not done this before so had lots of questions! Here’s a photo of Becker today, who’s made himself back at home in his field guarding his hay pile! Happy to be back rolling in his favourite mud patch! 😊

My horse recently had to go to Bell Equine for colic. An incredibly kind and calm vet called James visited twice before we made the call to go to the hospital, who talked me through absolutely everything in as much detail as I needed, and patiently dealt with my likely abrupt and panicked manner during this time. I am very grateful for this as I was incredibly scared. When we got to the hospital, Liv, Ceri and a team of others treated my horse in an efficient and calm manner, and Ceri took a long time to talk through all of the options in a caring and understanding way. Over the coming days, every member of the team was kind and attentive at every single step of the way. Nothing felt like too much trouble and I completely trusted the hands I was leaving my horse in after every visit. I am eternally grateful that they were able to save him and for the kindness and professionalism they showed for those 5 days and in phone calls beyond. I felt well-informed of both my horse's care and the cost, and I noticed a real horse-first, money-second attitude which was everything that is needed during an emergency, and gives me no hesitation in bringing my veterinary requirements to Bell whenever needed. Just to add - my horse has a long mane which I plait to keep him cool in warm weather, and during all the mayhem I remember Liv (if I remember rightly) taking a second to stroke him and plait some loose bits of his mane while she worked. A small and short act, but it put me at ease to watch her do something "normal". It felt genuinely loving towards him and the way I care for him, and I really appreciated that.

5* service! Recently I needed help with an urgent visit for my horse. Shannen on reception was exemplary in sorting out a visit last minute and saved us a huge stress just before we were due to go on holiday! (Thank you!💞) Horses love to pick the right time! Amy visited and again was amazing! Within 3 days we had a visit and blood results returned! Amazing!!! The Bell Equine team always do their best to bend over backwards and the horse is always put first! Thank you again for such a fab service! Natasha & Irish x
