Update: We took Billy back for a 9 week check today. We saw Tim again and he examined the affected leg and watched the dog walking outside. He was happy with Billy's progress and "signed him off" saying that we should ring if we had any further problems. We've had an excellent experience with all the vets, nurses and reception staff at Animal Trust Barnsley and have already recommended them to others. Thank you so much. I decided to use Animal Trust Barnsley after shopping around as my dog needed an expensive operation. Their prices were online and the op was more affordable for us. I initially booked an appointment online for a consult prior to the op, however a lovely lady called Tanya rang me and said that if I could come in earlier, she could book my dog in for the op the same day. That was great as it saved me repeating a 65 mile round trip. The trip was well worth it. The hospital has a large car park, welcoming staff and a large and very clean waiting area. We were soon called to see the vet, Neo, who was very kind and friendly and clearly explained the procedure to us and how our dog's recovery might look. We were happy to leave the dog in his care. Today we took him back for a check and saw another vet Sophie. Sophie again was very friendly and gave the dog a good check over. I'd recommend Animal Trust Vets Barnsley to anyone needing good pet care at more affordable prices. If I lived closer, I'd definitely choose them as my regular vet!

Starting bringing my cat to Animal Trust in Barnsley as I was not satisfied with the vet we were using in Sheffield and many others in the area did not have any space to take on further pets. Very much worth the trip over to Barnsley, the staff are friendly, professional and welcoming. The pricing is clear and we couldn't be happier with the level of care they showed to our cat who had to have a tooth out and is now booked in for another procedure. Thank you for helping to keep Scrumpy happy and healthy 😊

  • I cannot recommend Animal Trust Barnsley highly enough. From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming, compassionate, and genuinely caring—not just towards my pet, but towards me as well. It’s clear that everyone there truly loves animals and is dedicated to providing the best possible care. The vets took the time to thoroughly explain everything, answering all my questions without rushing me. They were honest, professional, and incredibly reassuring during what was a very stressful situation. I really appreciated how they involved me in the decisions and made sure I fully understood the treatment options. What stood out the most was their affordability without compromising on quality. It’s rare to find a veterinary practice that offers such high standards of care at reasonable prices, making it accessible for pet owners who want the best for their animals without the financial pressure. The facilities were clean, well-organised, and efficient, and the whole process—from booking to treatment—was smooth and stress-free. My pet was treated with kindness and respect at every stage, which meant the world to me. Thank you to the entire team at Animal Trust Barnsley for your dedication and hard work. You made a difficult time so much easier, and I’m incredibly grateful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for trustworthy, compassionate, and affordable veterinary care.

The staff were kind and helpful. Very pleasant to deal with. It would be 5 stars, but we have an issue regarding charges. I am sure it will all be sorted out. My cat had a broken leg. The surgeon has done a fantastic job. Thank you to everyone there.

Amazing vet service. Our cat Comet had a huge piece of rubber in his intestines and they managed to remove it and save his life with surgery. He’s come home super happy and healthy and is already back to normal. We couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you so much.
