I took in a rescue cat yesterday due to this vet practice telling the lady who found him “to either find him a home, his original owner or let him go.” This in itself is absolutely shocking for a vets to say but it gets worse! Pingu, as named by my partner, joined our household last night due to me not wanting him “to be let go” and was given a safe space in our bedroom. Whilst settling in I called my regular vets due to having my other pets registered there to have him checked over today. When I took him the vet told me that he is riddled with fleas! I find it disgusting that this vets failed to administer him some flea treatment and have since been told by the lady who found him that they just “scanned him for a microchip and put him in a cat bed.” He has now been given flea treatment and had his jabs but for a “vets” to not even think about this when checking him over is baffling!!

Absolutely Fantastic Vet practice, from reception staff, to nurses and vets a caring, friendly and empathetic team at Darley Abbey. We recently had the difficult decision to put our kitten to sleep. The team were amazing with Us as owners but most importantly providing tender loving care for our "Arthur". I can highly recommend the Ambivet. Thanks to all the team.

We went for our first appointment - a health check up - here after moving to Derby. The team all fussed over my dog and gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. I brought my newborn baby who needed to feed as soon as the appointment started and the veterinary nurse kindly invited me to take a seat and breastfeed whilst we discussed my dog’s health, which was great. She then proceeded to check my dog and did this in the most gentle manner, allowing my dog to come to have her heart listened to as she was unsure of the stethoscope at first. The rest of the appointment continued in a similar way and it meant that my dog has had a fantastic experience at her new vets. I’m so impressed that, even as a sleep-deprived new mother(!), I felt it important to take the time to leave a review! Thank you Ambivet and especially to our veterinary nurse today.

We had our first appointment today after moving to ambivet. We are so impressed with this practice. Ben was marvellous with our dogs, winning over our nervous dog almost immediately. I’m so pleased we decided to change vets, we came away feeling very confident in Ben’s knowledge, and the brilliant way he examined our dogs, making them happy and relaxed. Thank you Ben and the team at the Derby branch, what a great experience we had today.
