I came to Highfields Vets seeking help for my bunny, Benny, who had escaped his enclosure and had a fight with his brother which resulted in a part of his bottom lip being ripped off. I was a total mess. I had just woken up to the scene. I called at least 7 practices to see if anyone could give us any help at all and by the time I called Highfield Vets I was practically sobbing and losing hope. The receptionist took our details and immediately made me feel at ease, comforting me as I told her what had happened. The real problem was that I had not been paid yet, and my partner was away for work as he works in the army. In the past few months my partner and I have been covering funeral costs for our stillbirth and still paying off our new home purchases. I was alone and I felt stuck and above all things I felt awful for Benny because he didn’t deserve to be in pain while I tried to figure something out at such a horrible time. I felt like the worst owner ever. None of the staff who spoke to me knew my situation and they didn’t ask any intrusive questions. Without hesitation, within a few hours Benny was given pain relief, antibiotics and we had a date set to get him castrated and at the same time stitch his lip. Harriet the nurse that took care of Benny was the loveliest girl I have ever met. She ensured all my worries were heard and acted upon and I was given the option to pay two days later when I finally got paid. Lucy the owner, also ensured the cost was adjusted so that Benny could receive the care he needed without causing me additional stress. My experience at Highfield Vets touched my heart. I don’t think I ever cried so many tears of relief and gratitude when I came home with Benny after his surgery. From receptionists, nurses, surgeons and the owner herself, this place is full of kind, genuine angels. Inspiring people. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being the light in the dark for those who just need a little extra support like myself. Benny would thank you too… but since hes been home he has been far too busy stuffing his face with all the hay he can fit. I am very confident he believes that he actually went on holiday rather than to a vet. Thank you on behalf of Benben also 💗💗💗

I am highly cynical of large, corporate owned vets practices after several very bad experiences (especially at Pride/Scarsdale). So I was very pleased to find this small, caring practice. They are very genuine and each member of staff is so caring and kind. The prices are much fairer than most vets and I never feel pressured to accept unnecessary treatments. I actually trust them to do right by my pet and by me! Recently my rabbit had to have an eye removal and it was a terrible worry for us, but they were nothing but supportive and did a fantastic job of caring for him. He is fully recovered and I am so grateful to the staff at Highfield.

I can’t recommend this veterinary team enough! All of my bulldogs absolutely love coming here, Maisy gets so excited every time shes visits(she would live there if she could) . The staff are not only incredibly skilled and caring with the animals they are supportive too. It’s clear that they go above and beyond for both pets and their humans. Truly exceptional vets in every way.

We’ve never experienced such genuine care and professionalism as we have with the team at Highfields Vets. They truly go above and beyond for both pets and their owners. The entire team - from the vets and nurses to the reception staff - are outstanding: knowledgeable, compassionate, and always ready to help. They consistently prioritise our dogs’ needs and well-being, offering honest advice and reassurance every time we visit. Even in emergencies, they provide clear guidance and never encourage unnecessary visits, which shows how much integrity and care they have for both animals and their owners - which I have never really experienced before. Vet prices are always a concern in general for every pet owner, so not only Highfields Vets prices are very reasonable, they also offer a Health Plan that’s very affordable, and the unlimited consultations are a huge help. They’re also extremely transparent about their pricing — both on their website and in the detailed estimates they provide before any procedure — which really puts our minds at ease. It’s rare to find a veterinary practice that displays such a comprehensive price list online; most others only include a few generic procedures. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough. There have been countless times when the team has put our minds at ease over the troubles our dogs, Bruno and Maple, have gotten themselves into the past year - especially during emergencies. Thank you so much for your compassion and hard work. The world needs more vet team like you guys. Cheers from us and the dogs!

Brilliant, caring vets, nurses and reception team. I highly recommend them. They have been so helpful and supportive with all of our pets. Especially after the passing of our beautiful cat Nancy. Cannot recommend them highly enough, not just for their reasonable prices and honesty, but also for all of their care and compassion.
