Extortionate prices and absolute scam! I’m always happy to pay for my pet’s care as long as it’s care it actually needs. I brought my pet in due to limping and the vet/nurse incorrectly diagnosed it as a knee issue and immediately recommended X-rays that costs 865GBP and potential surgery. I called other vet clinics to receive a quote for X-ray and realized most other practices charge around 500GBP or as low as 400GBP. I then brought my pet to an orthopedic specialist with 20 years experience at a different clinic just to be told it’s a hip issue that has been resolved by anti inflammatory drugs within 2 days. I understand that clinics need to make money but I think it’s absolutely crazy to recommend unnecessary care involving anesthesia which is risky for smaller animals just for profit gains. Extremely irresponsible!

Really bad and unclear communication in general but most importantly on prices. I never felt like we were explained the options, only handed the bill at reception. I would advise anyone to change from Albavet if they would like things explained properly and also that their animal is seen by vets who genuinely care.

Albavet have taken amazing care of my cat during our time in Glasgow. All the staff have been very friendly and helpful, and the vets have answered all my questions regarding my cat's health during the many times I had to take him to the vet. I could often get an appointment on the same day at a convenient time, and in the early evenings after work. The reception staff have handled all the pet insurance claims, both direct and indirect, which made things so much easier for me. I highly recommend Albavet and feel very lucky to have had such a good vet practice nearby while living in the area.

Amazing vet looked after Thor and Loki extremely well. Friendly staff and explained everything very well so I would understand procedures and after care. Cost is good too would highly recommended thank you everyone at ALBA VET

I love the team and would recommend them to anyone I've been with Albavet Dennistoun since we got my dog Buggy (5 years now) and they have always been amazing. I've already moved twice (both times further away) and still would not even consider changing our vet surgery They make Buggy feel so welcome which is really appreciated as he is quite an anxious boy Two days ago I came back home to a horror of him getting to a box of chocolate (in a very thick premium metal packaging which I can't even open from the first go & which was also higher up than anything he usually could get) and eating it all. Luckily, they were just opening, we had a quick call and they saw us straightaway They helped Buggy in now time and I could pick up my boy in less than 2 hours feeling great, looking energetic and happy (I don't know how they managed that as they needed to make him sick). He was happy to see me and rushed to go play with his ball (I assumed he'd be too tired and feel sorry for himself). The photos of him playing right after the pick-up Both the receptionist and the vet talked me through what was going to happen and how much it can cost before the procedures started and they made sure I was taken care of Really happy to have such a wonderful clinic, thank you!
