⭐ Avoid at all costs ⭐ This vet practice is an absolute nightmare. The reception staff are completely useless — their only solution for every mistake is to say “sorry,” as if that somehow helps your pet feel better. We’ve had issues with them almost every other month. The last straw was when we turned up for our cat’s treatment appointment, only to be told it was cancelled because they hadn’t realised that more than six months had passed since her last vet visit. No vet was available, no effort to fix their mistake, and now we either have to wait several more days or take time off work to book an emergency appointment next week — all because of their sheer incompetence. If you care about your pet and want a clinic that’s reliable, organised, and actually pays attention, go anywhere else but here.

If you care about your pet, avoid this clinic. We chose Willows in Hellesdon for convenience after moving, but two months and nearly £700 later, we’ve gone elsewhere due to their incompetence and lack of care. Our dog had multiple symptoms that were dismissed as unrelated. Blood tests “showed nothing” yet we were charged exorbitant fees for glorified allergy tablets that were not going to fix the underlying issues. After doing my own research, I contacted them to request tests for hypothyroidism — a vet was supposed to call back but never did. This became a pattern: endless chasing, no follow-up, and constant excuses that the vet was “at another clinic” or “off that day.” We’ve since switched to a new practice, where our dog was immediately diagnosed with hypothyroidism and is now finally receiving proper treatment. This clinic is disorganised, overstretched, and fails its patients. Don’t risk your pet’s health — go elsewhere.

We had to take our kitten in for an emergency, which later turned into an emergency operation. Jenna, the amazing vet who took care of my baby, was very understanding and able to explain everything thoroughly to us in a calm manner! She literally made one of the most stressful days in our lives a lot better by being so reassuring, confident and professional!! Also, everyone at the reception was so friendly and clearly loved and cared about animals that came into the practice, which was so lovely to know! I really appreciate all the care and love given at the vet to our little baby, who is now in recovery! We are hoping for our kitten to recover quickly and come back to us as a jumpy, happy kitten that he is💓 Massive thanks to everyone at Hellesdon Willow Vets again for prompt decision making and calm manners, which helped us stay calm!!! I’d strongly recommend this practice to anyone and I will be recommending this place to my friends!!!!

The staff were kind, there were precautions in place due to restrictions. The nurse who was treating my rabbit seems kind, I did struggle a little to understand though. The veterinary did get my rabbits name wrong but I called them after I returned home and they apologised and corrected the mistakes. As it wasn't nice weather and had to wait outside, it was cold for my rabbit which was concerning, but she was seen quite quickly.
