Whilst currently on holiday in Brancaster Staithe,Norfolk with our dog, Bruno, a 14 month old Cocker Spaniel it became apparent that something in his right ear was causing him distress. As this was a Sunday and we were over 100 miles from our usual vet we decided to take him to the nearest out-of- hours vet. An internet search brought up Vets Now King's Lynn, approx 30 minutes drive away. The booking procedure was straightforward and efficient. On arrival I found the premises clean, tidy, modern and welcoming. An examination of the ear by the vet revealed a grass seed deep down in the ear canal. This was successfully removed. The vet carried out a further check go confirm that the ear canal was clear. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and their friendly, polite and reassuring attitude put both Bruno and myself at ease.

Our little dog had suffered a seizure on Saturday and we were offered an appointment immediately. The whole team were extremely efficient and kind. We felt we had plenty of time with the vet to explain history and recent symptoms. We were given medication and clear instructions. When I called our vet on Monday morning all the information had been passed on.

Excellent out of hours service. Closer than our normal practices out of hours. Which would have been hours away to Cambridge. When your pet has an emergency it so reassuring to know we have a vet close by. We could get there quickly and easily as knew the kings Lynn area. Got us in quickly and couldn’t fault them. Yes you have to pay more but it is private healthcare. It’s worth every penny they deserve it for such an excellent service. Sorted all forms and insurance for us and explained easily and clearly. Would definetly use them again if ever needed. Thankyou so much to everyone 🙂

Very reassuring, time taken by the Dianna and the nurse to explain and listen to concerns. Willow on her second day post op with her favourite cushion in front of the fire. Thank you

I adopted Gigi, my 16-year-old tortoiseshell cat, in June last year, and not long after she was diagnosed with arthritis and stage 2 kidney disease. As a first-time pet owner, I often feel anxious when she isn’t well, and like many people I’ve experienced how expensive vet care can be. But I can honestly say Gigi is worth every penny. Dr José Manuel Palmés has been absolutely outstanding. He is consistently kind, patient and empathetic, and always takes the time to explain everything clearly so that both my partner and I fully understand Gigi’s condition and treatment options. His calm manner and genuine care make a huge difference when you’re worried about your pet. I know everyone has their own experiences with vets and organisations, but as a vet and clinician he is incredible. He has gone above and beyond in the way he supports both Gigi and us as owners, and it’s clear how much he truly cares about the animals he treats. Mill House Veterinary Surgery & Hospital are incredibly lucky to have him, and Gigi and I are very grateful to have him as her vet. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for compassionate and knowledgeable veterinary care.
