  Sadly, we had to take our little dog, Lexie, to Vets Now as she was poorly. Overall, the experience was ok and everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The only negatives were the long wait to be seen, as there was only one vet available, and the eye-watering costs, which were absolutely horrendous!

  After calling them at 1.30pm I arrived just after 2pm with our dog, there was 3 people in front of us. There was lots of talk about lack of staff and the staff that were working were not happy as they said they should be 4 more staff on. We got seen at 4.45!! For the price I was charged I am not happy. Not great service. Staff not happy and didn’t worry about saying it in front of us all. While I was there two dogs had to be put to sleep, the staff were not supportive at all and more interested in getting them to paid. Ever when one of them said I am too upset to sort it now, they still said it has to be paid before you leave. 2 staff left at 4pm and the lady that was left was trying to do everything and wasn’t happy. Will not be using this vets again!!!

  Although the vets were very busy dealing with 2 serious cases they were able to remove grass seeds from my dog’s ear without the need for sedation. We had to wait a while but were kept informed when we would be seen. Very friendly and reassuring. Hope not to have to visit out of hours service very often in the future, if at all but would know I would get excellent service and care at Vetsnow.

  In My initial call to Vets Now I felt it was dismissive and it wasn’t taken seriously how terrified I was that my dog had suddenly started fitting.. from being a healthy dog and never having one before. I was told it was ‘normal for Frenchies to have trouble breathing sometimes!’ I explained that she was fitting and frothing at the mouth, but told not to take her in. She then had a further 2 seizures and on the 3rd I called back and was then told to take her in. My Daughter stayed as long as she could and kept me updated. I was then asked at 2am and while incredibly worried about my dog, for payment! Why could this not wait until the morning!? When my Daughter left she told me they would call her if there were any changes or at 7:45am if our girl could be transferred safely to our vet. The next morning I got a call ‘Are you one your way?’ No update on how she was or how I was. I explained what I believed had been said but there had been a misunderstanding with my incredibly upset daughter and I was told abruptly ‘No she had to be collected at 7:45!’ I called my daughter and she immediately left to collect our beloved dog and return her to our vet. Where sadly our gorgeous brown eyed baby had to be put to sleep. We were told she should not have been off oxygen for so long to be transferred and she was suffering. For a first time user of Vets Now I would say our experience was not great. I know they did what they could for our lovely girl but the people skills of the vet I spoke to need rethinking. Sorry for such a negative review.

  Receptionist was very kind and caring when we arrived. Firstly asking if my pet needed any immediate assistance. Whilst waiting she checked on us a few times to see if we were ok or needed anything. The vet we saw was really lovely and kind. Did thorough checks and was very helpful with medication. Apart from the cost as we had to use as emergency the care and treatment we received was 5* would definitely recommend
