  We have recently moved from another local vet who we had reasons to be unhappy with. Too many are overcharging pet owners these days and Mayers are a breath of fresh air as they were sensible and crystal clear with their charges. The level of care was all you could wish for and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

  I am afraid I have to give a very poor review. They treated my cat and he was put down - that was all as expected, thank you (the reason is not a 1*) However they were supposed to take footprints and a fur sample before he was cremated. They either forgot or lost these. Can’t really go back and undo that. To add insult to injury, I had to call three times and leave my details to finally have someone call back and tell me. Each time they said they would call back and did not.

  Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Finally a proper traditional vet! no insanely crazy fees just to look at my dog, only to tell me there’s something wrong with them (I know, that’s why I’m here) genuinely caring but at the same time very professional, register your pets here now! and you’ll still have enough money left for Christmas prezzies!

  What an amazing find! A recommendation and I'm so pleased. Unlike the corporate vetinary practices who charge an eye-watering fee to walk through the door, then try to sell you tests and things you just don't need. Mayers are an independent, honest, compassionate and are so so caring, and treat the symptoms first. From the wonderful reception staff to the wonderful vet I saw, John, I could not be happier and I'm now telling everyone I know to register!

  Charlotte (and staff) are absolutely amazing. She is kind, caring, and incredibly attentive. Most of all, she has a wonderful way of calming and supporting me when I’m feeling anxious or upset about my dog being unwell. Her compassion and professionalism make such a difference . I truly couldn’t ask for better care and would highly recommend.
