Please read the low star reviews especially if you are on PDSA or don’t have an expensive animal, or litter, he can make money from. Tim despite signing up to do PDSA subsidised fees appears to treat all these cases with disgust. I’ve spoken to countless people with the same experience. I was down as a PDSA patient but intended on saving the charity’s money and paying. He laughed in my face demanding to know where my kitten was from, told me my cat had fleas when he didn’t (confirmed by a different vet) and injected him with something without explaining what it was. He charged me for a load of flea treatment he didn’t need and then said “you can make your “donation” on the way out” and began to just walk out. He was also covered in blood. I said no I am paying in full. He just raised his eyebrows. I don’t know whether it is because I am young or because I am a woman but he treated me and my cat with disgust. We never went back. Why Tim, who doesn’t have a charitable bone in his body, agreed to be the only PDSA vet in York I don’t know, and on asking around it seems he treats his more profitable cases a lot better. His receptionist seemed appalled and I feel so sorry for all the team working with this ‘’man’.
Read on Google →Ive used this practice for many years and am surprised to see some negative reviews. Tim is a traditional vet. He gets the job done and in my opinion his surgical skills are 2nd to none. My breed is Bulldog and I have found no other who understands the breed issues like Tim. Yes his writing is hard to decipher and he comes to his diagnosis quickly without unnecessary small talk but I trust him and I know he cares for the animals in his care.
Read on Google →I’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences with this vet! Every member of the team has been incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring toward both me and my pets. I’ve recommended this place to every pet owner I know because the service is consistently excellent. I was honestly shocked to see some 1-star reviews — if I could give them 10 stars, I absolutely would! Highly recommended.
Read on Google →This is a new review August 2025 as we now have an 17 month old Cocker Spaniel who has just experienced his boys operation ,enough said poor lad but once again we must say a big thank you to Tim & the staff who do a wonderful job in this small & friendly practice we were reassured & didn’t worry unfortunately one testicle was undescended all went well & our beautiful boy is back to his normal self ! Tim looked after all our Guinea Pigs over 20 years before we progressed to dogs !, we had eye surgery , ovarian treatment … almost anything a little piggy can have we have always been treated with care and compassion when needed especially with the loss of the small animals when I have sobbed terribly all have gone to rest at Tim’s .We then lost our previous Cocker Spaniel at age 2 very sadly due to a blood disorder nothing any Bet could have done to save him but our new boy is now under Tim’s care .Thank you all !
Read on Google →My french bulldog was booked i. for a planned c-section, the vet was very kind and could sense I was worked up he let me stay with my girl whilst he delivered the Anastasia. He safely delivered 6 pups. Mum and pups are all doing well. After reading the reviews I was sceptical but I would definitely recommend this vet and will use them again.
