We are not local to the area, but we had a lovely experience using this vets. Whilst on holiday in the area we needed some emergency medication for our dog. After ringing early in the morning, and after the vets contacted vets from home, the medication was available by the end of the day. It was top class service. Our thanks to Maggie and her team.

Review is for CVS who owns Rosemullion, not the staff at Helston. Had a pet plan for our rabbit, which included a twice yearly nurse check, and inoculations once a year, as well as monthly food for the rabbit. Visited the vet for advice on a skin complaint, and paid the best part of a hundred pounds for the consultation. Told to buy a product online as they could only get it in large amounts. Did this. Fast forward a few months and was told innoculations are due. Took bunny to this appointment and was told he can't have his jabs as he's still looking a bit moth eaten. Told them we'd used the Ivomec as instructed so it's not mites, and we thought it was rain scald as bunny likes to sit outside, even in wet weather. She said can I take a photo of it? Agreed to this. Got a call a few days later, confirmed rain scald and a bill for eighty pounds! We said but this was the "free" inoculation visit, and she said that at the point the inoculation couldn't be given, the visit " turned into a consultation ". We were not informed of this at all. Argued for a bit, on phone and in writing and didn't pay. Then received a letter saying a debt recovery service were going to handle it, and credit rating would be affected. Was advised to pay up, and then seek a refund on the basis that we were not given informed consent that the basis of the visit had changed. We did this, and our carefully worded letter, sent over a month ago, has been completely ignored. Cannot recommend this practice, who we've used for decades as a family. My advice is find an independent Vet and avoid Rosemullion like the plague.

It's a shame I can't give a no star. We left rosemullion after they treated a family members dog so bad. We luckily only ever went for the check ups from our dog being a puppy and being on one of their plans. The first time they ever cut our dogs claws they made her bleed so bad on the first clip, our dog won't let us near her claws now. My dog had a skin tag from about a year old. We asked the vets what it was and they said nothing to worry about, just a skin tag. Well 7 years later we finally get it removed with another vet - when we unfortunately have to do an insurance claim because our poor dog now is having seizures, rosemullion lie to the insurers and say that she has a malicious lump on her side? If it was so bad why did you not offer to remove it 7 years ago when we asked. You claim you love and care for animals but we have not seen any of that in the 7 years we were with you. You didn't even ask why we were leaving. Rudely rang up and asked if we give permission to pass on our details and hung up the phone.

Provided faultless support for our two cats for nearly 18 years. When the final day came, the entire staff supported us like family. I could not have asked for a more personal, kind and thoughtful service. Really happy to be welcoming our next pets to the same level of care from such wonderful people.
