Pinewood Vets are amazing! We were not customers of them until very recently. Our dog, Blue, had collapsed at home and Pinewood Vets in Chorley saw our dog straight away. Our usual vet told us we'd have to wait! The service we received was excellent, from start to finish. The staff who were involved (the majority of the practice) demonstrated the utmost empathy, professionalism and genuine care for Blue and us. The vet sorted for Blue to go to a specialist as it was proven the issue was neurological. Unfortunately, Blue declined over the next 3 days and had to be put to sleep. From a scan they found cancer that had spread which brought on a stroke. No warnings till that horrible day. Absolutely heartbroken, but we couldn't fault Pinewood Vets. Our other dog will now be registered with this practice as I have every faith in them in times of urgent need. Thank you so much.

My cat came home really late last night (very unlike him, was already worried about him due to that) with an injured tail. He wouldn't lift it or wag it and just kept it down and was hiding away from my 2 other cats but as it was the middle of the night there wasn't much I could do but 8am as soon as they opened I called and explained everything to the receptionist and she managed to get him in to be seen at 9am! She was fantastic! The vet was amazing with Thunder and gave him some pain relief straightaway and comforted me that it wasn't a fractured tail at the base which was my 1st concern and after a closer look discovered he had been dragged and bitten possibly dog...and as he was also breathing quite fast he wanted to do an x-ray just to make sure everything was ok and assured me that he himself would call me straight after the procedure to let me know the results etc...by 5pm we was on our way home with Thunder feeling very relieved after paying and they answered all my questions regarding the insurance and in fact they were able to do the claim for the insurance thenselves whoch another relief. He is now wagging his tail but not quite normally yet and is back to his loving, calm and purring self 💙 I cannot fault this Vet for anything. We are registered there but have only ever had vaccinations done and a neutering and even with the neutering they called after the procedure to let us know he was ok and awake etc... Highly recommend this veterinary practice!! Here is my little man, not long turnt 1 🥰
