  Pinewood is quite simply the best veterinary surgery in the north west. Their experience, professionalism, friendliness and care are second to none. This goes for the entire staff, medical and administrative. We don't live locally but travel to get the best care there is.

  The male vet I saw today was rude. I took our elderly much loved cat in for a routine check to enable his fleas and worming prescription to be dispensed. It's extremely stressful for our cat to go the vets, he hates being removed from his environment. The vet attempted to make me feel like a bad cat owner for not agreeing to additional treatment which our cat does not require as he is fit, well and content. I feel the vet struggles to see the big picture of balancing very stressful visits to the vet with dubiously recommended treatment. He stated "I would do it for my cat but it's your decision" in a passive aggressive and condescending manner. The vet we saw last year for the same checks was lovely and had a better grasp of the big picture of the stress it causes our cat to visit the vets. Perhaps she could help to train the male vet in interpersonal skills so he doesn't upset anyone else. After todays experience with trying to push additional unnecessary treatment onto a very elderly cat, who is fit and well, I don't recommend this vet.
